I'm still here but nothing but bad stuff to report moneywise so have been in hiding hanging my head in shame. I am trying as hard as I can. For instance today I did an online shop which came to £168 and I went back and reduced it to £130. This is still horrendous but a bit better. The good thing is that I bought huge packs of loo roll, kitchen roll, washing powder etc so come January I can hopefully get a good start on the debt and setting myself a shopping budget.
My mind is full of plans for next year. I am going to pay minimums on everything and try for £100 extra the first month. So I will need to wait until the end of this month to see what target I will be aiming for. I am NOT going to go at it like a bull in a china shop as my history shows this does not work.
I have applied to do another 60 points with Open Uni. I can hopefully get it fully funded this year as my income is under 25k. This is very exciting as I will then be 2/3rds of the way to my degree and that makes me very happy.
So I hope everyone is well. I have been having a fine old time with friends and family but will soon be stopping the spends and getting my head down and tackling the debt. Yuk lol5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

My boy was 16 this week kitty so I have spent a fortune as well. I am taking him and his friend karting tomorrow and for a pizza so no doubt I'll be another £100 :eek:. Gift wise I am nearly finished so hopefully very soon I can start to knuckle down as I will not be spending much more after gifts are bought. I am stressing but trying not to
. We'll do it though xx

Just spent a while doing my spread sheet for next year and I am going to struggle
.
If I continue to do my part time work and I continue to get nowt from my ex then I am left with just under £600 per month. Sounds ok but from that I need to pay £150 per month for DS's fares and lunches for school, petrol of approx £100 and food of approx £250. This leaves £100 for everything else. Oh well I am sure I will think of something. Not a bloody clue what though.
Will need to get right back into cutting back on food bills and using the money any days DS not at school to pay extra bits and bobs. DS has a fair bit of study leave over the next few months so things may not be as tight as I am thinking. We'll see. So menu plan and diary will be coming out again as I find them invaluable when trying to save cash. Bed time for me now xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Morning mit yes what a struggle but hopefully well be ok after your ds leaves school will it then be cheaper for him to get to college or is fares the same as that could save you a few quid0
-
Hi Kitty. He still has 18 months of school to go . Once at college at least he would get help with his fares.
Well I feel physically sick to be honest. I have been putting off being honest with myself but today I have and it is rather a shock. It shouldn't be but it is. I could cry. I have just updated everything and looked at all my CC accounts. I have almost maxed them out and my minimum repayments each month are over £300 . Even when I manage to pay that I will pay hardly anything off of them as the interest will cripple me. Just a nightmare.
So plan of action is starting now folks. My overdraft will be at least at £500 by end of month as well, probably more. That will be the first thing I get rid of as it costs me £1 per day. I need to start thinking about what I am doing. Crazy lady!! My snowball says I will not be free of debt until 2020 .
I have an option to get out of this cycle but it is fairly drastic. I have been offered redundancy but so far have not really thought about it but it is tempting. I would get enough to pay off my debts and still have at least £20k. If I was confident enough that I would get another job really quickly then I would maybe go for it and clear my feet once and for all but I would be terrified that I would end up unemployed. Lots to consider. I'll need to do a lot of thinking.
So wee day out today for DS' s birthday. More money  but I have promised so we will go and have some fun. Have a good day folks xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
