iyes it will SS. Actually can't wait.
Got letter in tonight from bank telling me my spending power has been reduced :rotfl:Good I say. That means I will not work my way up to the massive balance I am allowed. Well to be honest I am only £200 off it anyway. Also got a bill in for £37 for a course I did in 2004 . They can jog on as I have no intentions of paying that.
Not much spending done today thankfully. My head is buzzing though thinking about redundancy. I would clear approx £38,000. Now I would love to take it and run. I would pay off my CC debt ( about £18k) but wouldn't pay off anything else. If I go for it it will be to go back to uni and do a teaching degree. I reckon I could be done in 2 years as I could finish 2 nd yr through open uni up until Oct and try and get a place in Uni from Sept to do 3rd year. Tonight I have been number crunching and I'm getting more and more convinced that it's a no go. I need £900 per month just to keep a roof over our heads. This does not include food, clothing, petrol etc and if I managed to get a job on minimum wage then I could only expect to clear £900 ish. This scares me a bit. Arrggh!! What to do . I have until Friday to put in a form expressing interest.
Just made HM custard creams and they are yum. DD's BF nearly broke his neck coming downstairs to get one :rotfl:.

Busy, busy day today and I'm knackered. I stop on Friday and this week will be bedlam. I got told today from a lovely man that I had no idea about anything. Ho hum!! He got the dial tone as at least I knew how to get rid of him. Why do people blame everyone else for their circumstances?? Not my fault that folks get into bother at times and if I can fix it for them they think I'm wonderful but if I can't then they call ME the idiot and abuse me. Hmm something far wrong there I reckon.
Anyway, whatever!! I'll just do the best I can.
Spent a few pounds today but other than a gift for my staff then I a just about done. Bought DD thermals today so she is nice and cosy in her job when she is working outside. Nice cosy thermal socks as well. I also bought new kitchen scales but they were only £4 and are really funky. Mine are broken and with the amount of cooking and baking I do they are an essential item for me.
Out for lunch again tomorrow and getting my nails done at night. Going to see my cousins afterwards to read their tarot and have a catch up.
I looked at one of the craft sited last night and I am hopeful I can make some money from my knitting. I knit really nice aran jumpers but I never charge for them as it was never worth it. However this site seems to be realistic with their prices so I am going to knit a baby aran and see how it sells. I've already started it so should have it ready soon to upload for sale. Nothing ventured and all that. I had the wool in anyway so I might as well have a go. It might just be a good wee moneyspinner.
So am away to knit :-)5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Oooh I didn't know you read tarot! I used to do readings, I have my own cards but haven't used them for ages. I also gave messages to people but again I haven't done that for years.
Boo to the nasty man on the phone but yay to funky new scales! £4! Bargain! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I have read tarot for a few years but only do it for friends and family as I'm not very professional and usually the cards come out when the wine comes out. I am very uncanny though and have told a few people a good few things. I quite enjoy doing them as long as folks take it with a pinch of salt xx5 Year plan. The redundancy thing……..
People who want to work usually find a jobI was made redundant over two years ago with quite a good pay off and have been contracting via agencies since. Currently on my second contract. The money isn't as good as I was on and I expected that but I made a choice to get my wee dog and work close to home so I could get back at lunchtime.
You sound like the sort that would do anything to earn a crustHave a look to see what jobs are around your area and what they are paying. I found Reed's website really helpful for that. Interestingly an enormous amount of jobs are not advertised in papers anymore, in fact the two contracts I have got haven't been advertised at all!

Thanks MM. I have already decided to wait. The reason is that in 18mnths I will be 50 and there is a big pension enhancement once you are 50 if you take redundancy. We are all sure that there will be more offers made so I am going to hammer down my debt as much as I can in the meantime and once I am 50 it will be much more fruitful for me to leave
. I am positive I would get a job of some sorts but I need to get my outgoings down first before I take that leap.
Tree up at last in my house. Been in pain with kidney stones a fair bit recently and it is making me tired. Not sure if it is the pain or the painkillers that are making me tired but I went to bed sharp last night and was up loads as I couldn't get comfortable. My cousin works in the local hospital dealing with appointments so I have asked her to check and see if my referral has been made.

:j that's me finished for Christmas hols :j. Shopping delivered tonight so all organised. I did laugh though as I had ordered a flask for my daughter as a stocking filler and they sent me cake tines!! Strange, but they won't keep her soup hot on a cold day :rotfl:. I also had promised myself that I would not do a massive shop but I have now had to squash everything into 2 freezers as I have bought so much. Kids think it's 'Christmas' ...........hey it is !!
So I have still a few things to do but tbh I have had pain for 8 days now from my kidneys and I am exhausted. I have managed to do my job but very little else so I am hoping that the energy I was using for work can be used over the weekend for the house. I am really really hoping that the pain will go but I think that is unlikely. My legs and hands are swollen and I feel like a wreck. Never mind I am well otherwise and I am thankful that my problem can be fixed. I have a CT scan on 3rd Jan which is brilliant as hopefully the treatment can start ASAP after that and I will be a happy, pain free MIT
.
So tonight I am having a quiet one with my feet up. I have painkillers and a hot water bottle and the telly so I will just chill and unwind after a murderous day. Wish I could have a wine :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Oooh you poor thing with the kidney stones pain. Sounds horrible. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night.
Well done on figuring out that it will be better to wait until your are 50. I am rubbish at stuff like that and would have probably just grabbed the money and run.
Hopefully you can start your Christmas chill out now. Don't push yourself too hard, get the kids to help with the cleaning.

HI ss and welcome. I got 10 hours, yes 10 hours sleep last night and feeling wonderful today :j:j. Happy MIT
I have spent the day baking and cleaning will get finished tomorrow. I don't mind now that I had pain for 8 days so long as it is gone and hopefully stays gone for Christmas.
So I made 52 cup cakes, 15 custard creams and 4 gingerbreads. I made 18 marzipan christmas trees, 16 holly leaves, 48 berries and 14 sets of marzipan santa legs. Not to mention a veritable mountain of buttercream and chocolate fudge. Now have 11 boxes of 4 cakes to be dished out to various friends and family. 1 box of 10 cakes and the 4 gingerbreads. I am delighted with the way they turned out. We will deliver them all tomorrow and that will be another job ticked off of the list. Oh nearly forgot I made tablet as well. Forgot to butter one of the tins though so couldn't get the tablet out. DD took it down to her friends though and they ate it with spoons.
I am tired now and sitting with my feet up. Hope everyone is well and getting organised xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
