First of all either there are major problems with their websites, or their 'formulas' 2 and 4 have exactly the same ingredients.
No 3 has a spelling mistake: Congugated Linoleic Acid instead of Conjugated, however that ingredient's recommended daily dosage is 3.2 g/day, according to Wikipedia, so not sure what 2-600mg is going to achieve...
Also there is nothing to support their claims.
e.g. one of the ingredients they use is resveratrol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resveratrol
Another one Chromium picolinate
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium%28III%29_picolinate
I could go on and on, but I think you got the picture, these tablets are a waste of money to say the least and I can't see how they can substantiate the health claims they make.
Thanks for your input, but actually there's two of us that have had notable success with the pills so they certainly weren't a waste of money in our case. Ah, spelling mistakes aren't great! But we're all human. I've looked through the website and think their claims are substantiated but everybody is entitled to their own opinions.
Funny how you moan that they're ineffective but haven't given your own advice on weight loss... :rotfl:
These obviously work for me and the other person on the thread, sorry I can't remember names, and I think the results in reality do substantiate their claims.
Perhaps you've had a bad experience with weight loss tablets, but I'm very happy with them and don't take kindly to people who try to belittle something that has made me feel better than I have in years.0 -

Yes, I've noticed there's two people promoting them, on more than one thread, just the same two people, one of whom states that she is friendly with the owner, and has been promoting the product on other boards as well.... Maybe it's just me and posting on MSE has just made me too cynical and I tend to notice this type of thing
I'm not denying taking the tablet has made you feel better.
You are free to talk about your experience and I'm free to make a comment about the product.
The information about clinical studies is very vague, with no links, no details about dosage used, and contradicted by what is stated (with appropriate references) on Wikipedia.
Also I've not been able to find a contact address on the website, which I believe is a legal requirement. Personally I don't shop from websites that don't follow the legal requirements, but other people may have a different view.0 -
Incidentally, I've been losing weight, but I haven't done anything special, or spent money on any 'magic cure', just changed my eating habits and got rid of junk food. There is a useful thread on the 'old style' board that has quite a lot of good tips that will help people lose weight and also save money (people there are losing a lot of weight and definitely not spending ridiculous amounts of money on fad diets etc...).0

well done everyone on your weight loss, i am starting again with mine and its gonna be sensible eating and portion control and walking every day and swimming 3 times a week (25 mins each time)
i have tried all the diets and am a crohns sufferer and my trigger foods are some lettuces and most raw veg so i pack all my veg in my evening meals. must learn the word no when it comes to cakes and sweets tho!0 -
My other half and I are embarking on a bit of a weight loss journey, and are writing a blog to help keep us on track. We are trying to do this on a budget as well, so we thought that this might be a good place to come to exchange ideas!
Briefly, we are roughly tracking calories, and incorporating three 200 calorie snacks a day in the routine to keep us interested. In the first week we lost more than half a BMI point each, but we know it'll get tougher and are always open to suggestions - I particularly like the diabetic eating one.
We are on a £60 a week shopping budget, but did our weekly shop for under £30 yesterday (remains to be seen if it will last us a week!)0 -
Ive lost two stones since May, I still eat bread and potatoes, but in moderation and I eat more sweet potatoes than potatoes these days.
My fitness pal is a good website to start. As is writing down everything you eat and drink in a food diary.
I also exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 mins a time, I do high intensity interval training and I lift weights.0 -
Oh and I would avoid any slimming pills or any shakes such as herbalife or body by vi like the plague.0

I have lost 2.5 stone since August 2013.
I started out on Cambridge Diet Plan just to kick start myself and get the motivation going. In that first week I lost 6lbs which gave me the motivation.
I then moved to 2 products and a meal at night.
I have not once felt that I have 'missed' anything, as I still make sure to have treats now and then.
A typical day for me might now be:
Breakfast: coffee and cerear bar OR smoothie OR coffee and fruit
Lunch: Home made soup
Dinner: Chicken and veg/Salmon and cauliflower rice/Chilli with cauli rice/curry with cauli rice/quorn sausage salad etc etc
Lots and lots of water through the day.
Funnily enough, I am now at the point where I need to STOP losing weight, and even a week away on holiday has put nothing on me.

The best way to reduce weight is take more protein, fiber & less carbohydrate, fat, cholesterol.
Proportionate exercise for what you eat.Walking for 40 min per day is more than enough if you maintain your diet.0
