Christmas Breakfast Ideas

Options
Hi,

This is my first Christmas in my own house, normally my mum does everything but I thought I would do something to help this year!

I offered to do a christmas breakfast but I want it to be a bit special!

Does anyone have any ideas of what to cook? It needs to be a bigish breakfast as we all probably wont eat until about 5 o'clock x :j

if you dont want full english...how about croissants with smoked salmon and cream cheese and maybe cereal or fresh fruit salad to start.

My Christmas breakfast is usually scrambled eggs, bagels, smoked salmon cream cheese and bacon. Everyone digs in and makes up the bagel they like....... you could also have muffins like the breakfast muffins as an alternative to bagels.

If you want to make it more substantial add banana or blueberry muffins which are dead easy to make and bake that morning and smell fantastic.

I know a full English will keep the troops going for hours, but if you're a bit dubious about all that all at once for your first Christmas, then do what you can in the oven & have some muffins as a treat.

(If you bake them brilliant! If not, well, just hide the evidence...)

MY DS cooks bacon, sausages and fried eggs then puts them on hot plates, with buttered muffins for everyone to make up their own Christmas Muffin, and my OH goes out for Starbucks coffees to go with it, yum! Big bowl of fresh fruit, jiuce etc - keeps everyone going until the Christmas Eve buffet when it starts to get dark :)

Ours is very simple. I pop some part baked croissant in the oven and we have them with butter,
orange juice and individual pots of jams etc.

We always have sausage rolls and mince pies for breakfast on Christmas morning or smoked salmon sandwiches and bucks fizz for brunch.

We have cinnamon swirls and other pastries for breakfast, as they are quick to eat when everyone is busy opening presents and getting the dinner ready.

We've never done anything other than cereal/toast, but that will change this year. Not sure about bacon or meat due to the amount consumed later in the day, but liking the croissants/pastries/salmon ideas...
