Agreed its not a cheap one but Mitsubishi are meant to be very good brand, reliable, compact and cheap to run.
I have had a Mitsui one for well over 15 years but the noise was driving me potty even though it was in a porch and the new one is very quite and is in hallway
My MIL got one at same time and she is well pleased it will she has it in kitchenJust_Passing_Bi wrote: »If I've clicked on the right link, sadly, that's wayyyyyyyyyyy to far out of our price range0 -
My daughter has one of these in her 2 bedroom flat and its cut down condensation a lot and its quite too. She got it as her last flat had large single glazed windows

I have a dehumidifier that works really well but it only works in the room it's in, not the whole house, so I've been looking at the whole house dehumidifiers that go in the loft, has anyone got any idea if they're any good?

Just a little update on the Aldi one, have had it a few days and its doing a really god job - have used it on the laundry setting past couple of days and it does make washing dry quicker.
It uses around 330w on full whack, less if not on laundry setting but it is quite noisy. We live in a 3 bed bungalow and i am in the living room typing this with the machine on in the kitchen, furthest room away, with no tv or radio on i can clearly hear it running!0 -
Just an update on my situation.
I have received another unit from EcoAir, which they tested at their end before sending out. So far it is working beautifully!
It has been on for 56 minutes now, in turbo mode, and has collected a load of water. It really is good!
It isn't exhibiting any of the behaviour of the other two units, so it seems I really was just that unlucky!
I really cannot praise breathingspace.co.uk (David in particular) and EcoAir (Damion) enough, they really went above and beyond to sort this problem for me.
Thanks to cod3 too, for helping confirm my fault. :T
Now I can start drying out my home!0 -

Thanks for the update and glad to hear you have a working one now.
Think I am going to go with this one as its within my budget and has good reviews on here and amazon. Will go through breathingspace as they seem to have great after sale service as well.
Will update how it goes for me once I have ordered and used it.0 -

lstar - what model of ecoair was it? I'm considering the same however these desiccant ones seem waaaaaay to flaky. I mean, it took 3 attempts to get you a working one? That's pretty poor. That said, i'd like to know if it was the 122 simple/classic etc?0

I got the 122 Simple. I did this so I could use a mechanical timer for E7 hours. AFAIK, this cant be done with the classic as it will lose its digital settings when the power is cut.
I think I was very unlucky tbh. Two other posters here got units that were fine, and my third unit is working like a real trooper!
It knocks the socks off the compressor type I used to have. I only use it during E7 hours and it always fills its tank.
I know it seems like such a gamble when you read about my first two units, but they were both replaced FOC, and the third is absolutely fine.
You don't have to get the 122 if you have no confidence in it, but I wouldn't get a compressor type if I was making the choice.0
