Hello ladies - I've just posted this on the miscarriage board and thought it worth also asking on this thread too. Any pointers would be gratefully received.

    TIA
I have a dr appointment tomorrow, although I'm not sure if it's a waste of time or not. I made it because I'm not sure if I'm ovulating since my loss (3 months ago) and have a feeling that there's a blood test they can do to check (on day 21 I think). I also want to know if all the infections (I seem to have had plenty) I've had since delivery have cleared up - as there were no clear symptoms other than test results I have no way of knowing myself. My cycles and periods have also been odd - i.e. very different to how they used to be - and I'm not sure if that's an indication that there's something wrong, or if my system is still not working as it did, or if it's a sign that my reproductive system has completely packed up on me :(

I'm sure there are other things I want to ask in terms of preparation for TTC after late loss, but I'm not sure what! If anyone else has any ideas I'd appreciate it as it's taken two weeks to get this appointment and don't want to waste it :)

SB. Just wanted to nip on and say good luck for your appointment - I really hope you get a sympathetic GP. My consultant described every pregnancy as like 'throwing up a pack of cards'. Ie, our hormones are the cards and every pregnancy leaves them somewhere different so our bodies will always change. It's far more common for things not to return to what was normal before.

I was told I wouldn't get any help for 12 months after my daughter died because a) that's a normal amount of time to wait and b) you need to 'recover' (whatever that means). I didn't need any help after her death although I can of course understand your frustration.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for the 7dpo test to check that you are ovulating, especially if you stress that you have been tracking your cycles and are TTC but as you say your periods are not regular make sure it's done at the right time. Same with any swabs to check all infections are gone etc.

It totally depends on area and on GP but I would prepare yourself to be told to 'be patient'. Absolute best of luck

    Thanks Lily.

I do wonder if I'm sounding impatient or callous as I'm TTC only 3 months after losing the boys (at 22w for those that don't know), but I'm so concerned that my age is against me and I only have a few years (if that) to conceive again.

I just want to do absolutely everything in my power to try for another baby, then if it doesn't work out I can't say "if only I'd done...."

We started trying a few weeks after DD was born....I was desperate. I eventually got pregnant with DS on the 3rd cycle after DD and my god, that was the longest 3 months of my life. The disappointment every time AF arrived was earth shattering. There is a void in your life that nothing else can fill - I understand that. Callous? Certainly not. It is normal, natural and very understandable to want it to happen quickly.

I don't know how old you are, or how fertile you have been in the past, but I would really try to emphasize what you have been through. Sad as it is, some medical staff only start listening when you start getting upset/hysterical. I really really hope you see someone sympathetic - the gap between one pregnancy ending and the next starting is very very hard indeed. Will be sending you + vibes tomorrow.

sweaty Betty I can't offer you any advice I'm afraid, I just wanted to say I'm so so sorry for your loss. What you've been through sounds beyond horrendous. Best of luck with your GP appointment. I hope they can offer you some help and that you get your forever baby real soon. Big hugs.

Thank you :o - I'm very lucky to have my first LO (who's now 3 years old). I just seem to have had problems since - early miscarriage last year, then late-term miscarriage (one week off being classed as stillborn) twins a few months ago.

Thank you for your support :)

For those that take B6, what mg do you take, how do you take it, and how much do typically pay for it? I'm a bit curious, since my LP seems to only be 10 days. Hoping that it will be a bit longer this cycle, but we will see if AF comes tomorrow or later (or hopefully not at all!).
