    Welcome Alipops.

Start taking folic acid now, if you haven't already. If you don't want to get into a scientific approach just yet (and I don't blame you) and you're not married to a sex panda, then just BD every 2-3 days which should make sure the sperm are around when your egg drops. Get yourself an app for tracking your period and symptoms because it will become quite useful for understanding how your reproductive system works and try to forget everything you learned in biology class - a 28 day cycle with ovulation on day 14 isn't all that common. And try not to worry. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky people who gets there first go, but bear in mind it's perfectly normal for it to take a year.

Finally, and importantly keep posting here. We hate it when someone comes on, posts once and then announces a BFP. No question is too dumb and there is no such thing as TMI.

Hope you're not here for too long, in the nicest possible way.

Thank you Code Monkey - that is such a lovely response, I really appreciate it.

I'll give you a little background:
We've been together 3.5 years, been married nearly 2 months. Moved into our new home, perfect for a family just before we got married. I'm 26 and my husband is 28. We have good jobs, and have decided we'd like to start a family now, because there will never be 100% the right time and financially we are as stable as we can be.
Most of my family have managed to have "accidents" when it comes to pregnancy, so the fact we are actually trying is a bit strange to us!!

  • Morning ladies, hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Thanks for the lists Mrs_T_M :)

FF still has me down as ovulating on CD14, although I think CD17/18 seems more likely. Anyway, as I'm on CD24 today, my luteal phase is a big improvement on last month whichever is the case. I guess I'll go with FF and say I'm 10DPO if I can be updated whenever you next do the list please?

Hugs to all in need and a big welcome to alipops

    Can anyone recommend an app?

Alipops- I came off my pill at the end of August and my last period was 30th August so I think Im cd38 with no sign of af yet- so you may be lucky and have a period sooner but do be prepared to have a little wait. (I was prepared but am getting inpatient now!!:rotfl:)
  • Hi ThinkPink I use the fertility friend app, I think it's great but it took me a lil while to get used to it. Theres a lot of data you can input.

  • Hello ladies

Hope we are all well and welcome to the newbies

Got my first FS appointment in 31st Oct. Nervous about it but also pleased that we are hopefully progressing our TTC journey. Anyone have any ideas of what we can expect? Waiting for my letter with all the details on.

Big hugs and baby dust to all xxxx
