Evening ladies,
Hope you all have a lovely weekend planned.
I am wanting to ask a serious opinion/question and I have been thinking about posting this for a long time. I will be upfront and say I haven't said this about myself because I know how hard we have all been trying and for some it's been a long time.
I don't want you to think what I am next going to say diminishes what we are all working toward, but I don't know where else to ask this question. I also don't want to say this to the "medical people" and it go against me.
As you may (may not know) I have been referred for FS appt (me issues) which happens this month (yay!). I am wanting to be fully honest, but don't want this to go against our chances of getting NHS help if we need it.
So ... 14 years ago I had a termination (right thing at the right time - I completely still agree with this). However, now I'm with someone and we want to start a family - and we can't. (I do feel at times that maybe it's karma showing her beautiful face).
My question is - if I'm asked if I've ever been pregnant (been asked by GPs before - and been honest) - will this go against me for help/treatment?
Clearly things have changed with my abilities....
I'm sorry if this upsets some people - I really don't want to offend anyone.
Your thoughts/knowledge would be appreciated but understand if you're not happy with my post.

Morning Ladies!
Mrs_T_M - I get Salcura Shampoo for hubby, his psoriasis was pretty bad on his scalp but that shampoo has really cleared it up. I get it from amazon.
Not alot to report here, already convinced I'm out, been a right stroppy mare the last few days and just plain miserable so think my hormones are playing up. Have had sore, tender boobs since 4 DPO which are so painful they're stopping me being able to sleep so seriously fed up this month!!
Carrot - I had that same conversation with my GP this week. I had a termination when I was a teenager, right decision at the time, just wouldn't have been able to cope, something I've thought alot about over the years and imagined "what if". She said that it shouldn't affect my ability to conceive and didn't hint that because of it I wouldn't be able to get help so I really wouldn't worry, I don't think they can penalise you or judge you for something that happened a long time ago xNew House... Mrs tm I use naked stuff ATM but not tried the dandruff one. When I had surgery earlier this year it but my body through a lot of stress and found the green people really settled my scalp down.0

Hi, can you re add me to the list please?
Without-a-paddle 43 ttc..1/2/2013 officially
Currently cd16 5DPO thanks, and thanks for the new thread mrs tm0 -
Caught up to here with adding stuffs!
Bit off topic, but anyone have any good remedies for extremely flaky scalp and eyebrows and patches of psoriasis at the corners of my forehead? I'm using dandruff shampoo (various ones with different medicine in them) and conditioner and washing as often as I can, usually every day. I'd really like to avoid cutting my hair short to fix it if possible. I don't like going out because it's embarrassing plus sweat makes it 100x worse on the flakes and itchiness!
Try neem (most health shops sell it) or tea tree shampoo and i would avoid washing it every day as you'll just strip the moisture and make it worse. Aloe vera for for flaky face bits, will sooth and moisturise gently. hope this helps x0 -
Hi all. Unfortunately I haven't managed to keep up to date with the thread of late. Now we have a shiny new one!!! Hopefully this means we all get our BFP's.
Please can I be added to the front page. TTC since ??? I would say right now (no, not BDing at this very moment). Just need to start properly I guess, need a proper plan. Must go and take my folic acid. :-) I'm also on CD23.
Sorry I can't change the colour.
HUGE thanks to Mrs_T_M for the lists - you are an absolute star! X0 -
Carrot - no advice, but just wanted to say hugs, must be difficult having that worry - I doubt they could penalise you for something that happened a long time ago
Mrs TM - I use T Gel shampoo, what I find is that I have to change my shampoo every couple of months though - usually my hair decides this should happen just having bought a new bottle of whatever brand I am using at one time. I don't always use anti-dandruff ones, just keep that for really itchy times0 -
Carrot- I understand how you feel. Not been in the same situation but I sometimes wander if my TTC struggles are also karma biting me in the butt.
I would be honest about it because it might impact on the tests they do etc. e.g they could look for any damage that could have been caused by it. I don't think anybody should judge anybody else for doing the right thing for them at the right time. Xxxx
MrsTM - Thanks for the new list! X0 -
Carrot - it's always best to be honest and no one should judge you for it. It's best to give medical people as much info as possible so they can do tests/give treatment based on your specific situation. Please try not to worry too much, we've all done things in our past that make you think "what if", you're not alone.0

Sorry for not doing the lists yet for today, only just turned on the computer! :eek:Mrs TM - I use T Gel shampoo, what I find is that I have to change my shampoo every couple of months though - usually my hair decides this should happen just having bought a new bottle of whatever brand I am using at one time. I have a bottle of T-gel (and I loveee the smell) that I rotate with head and shoulders, DHS 2% zinc pyrithirone, Loreal elvive selenium, an off brand from the states like selsun blue (mostly menthol), and then the naked sensitive stuff. I washed with the naked sensitive first last night, then the DHS (let sit for 5 minutes), then the T-gel (let sit for 5 minutes), then used the last bit of my naked sensitive conditioner. I absolutely must use conditioner otherwise no comb or brush in the world will make it through my hair. I only comb my hair when it's wet, never brush, and I only blow dry when it's absolutely necessary. I also have tried not using conditioner on my scalp vs using it all over my hair and scalp, never made any difference.
Boobs are very achy today, but I'm still spotting (have been since ov). Not even going to let myself get hopeful though. Since we've now been trying for a year, the excitement and hope has kinda dwindled.0
