wendz86- it does actually help to talk about it and hear other peoples struggles. I wish that no one would ever lose a baby or child, but it is very nice knowing that we aren't alone in this. I've ordered a guardian angel pendant with a January birthstone in it as well as a silver chain to wear it on. To those that don't know, they will just think it's for my birthday instead of his. I've also ordered a journal to write in during the grieving process. I've never been good at keeping a journal, but I feel that I need it this time.
I won't be making any definite plans for at least another year, but I think that this happening has solidified my thoughts on studying and becoming a midwife. I had toyed with the idea before, but now I think it's something I really want to do. As if my 6 years of uni weren't enough, I'm going to end up signing up for 3 more years!0 -
mrs TM you will be ok, its so hard i know I lost a little boy a few years ago when I was 6 months pregnant, and I think of him always0

Hello - hope everyone is ok today.
Quick question as I can't remember of the top of my head. Does anyone on here use a clear blue fertility monitor?
I'm not getting any real positives on OPKs or temp increases yet and wondering whether to get one for next cycle to help me see if I am actually ovulating and when. Can anyone recommend?
Love to all

Thanks ttc39 - how does it actually work?:A26/5/14 - Baby Neve - left footprints on my heart0

You can start using between days 1-5 , you will see it asking you for sticks to be inserted, that you have either weed on or dipped in wee, on certain days in your cycle. Think you use about ten sticks per cycle generally .
You get a pic of egg to show your most fertile times .
I had stopped using it after mc but back on it again now as it's much better IMO than just temping or ov sticks xJoined SW on 1.5.14 - Weight 11 stone 11

Ah I see, thank you. I think I might see if I can get a cheapie on eBay now and then I'll have it ready and waiting for the start of next cycle!:A26/5/14 - Baby Neve - left footprints on my heart0

Hi All,
Just wondering if I can join you lovely ladies. First of all I have been lurking for a little bit so I'm very sorry to hear your news Mrs TM, hope you are looking after each other (hugs)
OH and I decided earlier on this month to start TTC#1. We're both 31 and decided we're not getting any youngerI came off the OCP in December 2012 having been on it for nearly 12 years. Before starting it my periods were very irregular, often only happening once every couple of months. After stopping the OCP a year ago now I thought my cycles might have settled down but they are still erratic. Since the summer they have been anywhere from 39 to 49 days long
Last month I decided to start using clearblue digital advanced ov sticks to try and get more of a handle on things, hoping that we would start TTC soon. So last month I had 3 flashing smiley faces from CD 27, then a solid smiley on CD 30, so assuming I ovulated on CD 31. All of which seemed ok, bar my long cycles. Today I am CD 31 and have now had 6 days in a row of flashing smileys, but not a sniff of a solid to indicate imminent ov
We have DTD on the first and second day of flashing smileys, as well as yesterday. I do try and also check CM, but I have to admit I am a bit rubbish at this bit. I have only ever noticed EWCM one month last year, and nothing since, although today I have white sticky CM (sorry for TMI!)
I have done some reading (not obsessively of course) which suggests women with long cycles like me may not actually be ovulating as our cycles are too long??
Sorry for the epic on my first postbut therefore just wondering whether anyone has experience of long cycles like me, and getting a BFP, as well as anyone who has used the clearblue advanced device?
Looking forward to joining you ladies for the ride. It's really good to have somewhere to discuss these things as we are not telling anyone in RL that we are TTC so thank you0 -
