Hugs Tia, I had the same reaction when I found out my cousins gf was pregnant and I don't even know her lol.

I think a lot of it's to do with being the start of the year. I always feel that emotions run higher in January than any other time as it's such a grim time after the build up to Christmas and New Year IYKWIM.

AFM we're just having fun with everything, the only time I'm looking at the app I use is to note when we've DTD and not bothering to time it with anything as my cycles appear to be changing each month anyway.

Everyone does seem to be getting pregnant everywhere. Had a little !!!!!! moment when I heard Jessica Ennis is pregnant never mind all the new year Facebook updates! Oh well

Hugs Frankie I am feeling v fed up too. Pretty sure we have missed our chance this month due to hubby being away. Trying to not mind, but feel sad.

Loudfish - If you are still reading completely forgot to say congratulations! Brilliant news. Its really good to see more names on the BFP list.


Right ladies, this has been mentioned before so I am going to really behave this cycle. No ss, no early tests, nothing. If anyone sees me about to test please do tell me off. I spent a fortune on tests this last month and had a few very very faint lines on ics. These were obviously nothing but were enough to get my hopes high enough for them to be crushed even more. I am not texting until the 13th Feb. I am going to temp and use opks but I am treating this as a get to know your cycle month and nothing more.

Highly unlikely on cycle 1 with DH only having one side left and I'm surprised at how down I am. I didn't think my hopes were as high as they are ifkwim!

Just popping back from 12months+ to be updated on the list to 1DPO

Got solid smiley on OPK digi yesterday so assuming that i OV'd yesterday rather than today - had mega ovary area cramps yesterday which are still here today, albeit less painful. So i guess thats OV lol

DH has had his SA now too.... so just waiting for the results

New poster here, just wanted to say this is a great thread and really supportive.

I am 33 (almost 34) and DH is 32, have been TTC for no1 on and off since April 2013. We had a couple of months when we couldn't try as I was taking medication that I couldn't take whilst pg or TTC. We also decided to take a break for Christmas as I knew that I would be drinking and I preferred TTC when I had the chance to go back on the wagon.

I suspect I had an early miscarriage in August last year, as I was really early (despite being sure I had timed BD to perfection!) and AF was unusually heavy and I passed clots (apologies for TMI). Although disappointing at the time it did give me hope that things seemed to be working in that region.

At the end of last year my work colleague, who is younger than me and wasn't TTC announced that she was pg. I was happy for her as she told me didn't think she could conceive naturally, but I have admit to feeling a bit down about it. It really brought into focus what I want, and that I don't really have loads of time left anymore.

We haven't told many people that we are TTC, only a couple of close friends who are going through a similar thing. So it is great to have a forum here to discuss! I would love to tell my mum but she is desperate to be a grandma and I would prefer it be a nice surprise for her, rather than getting her hopes up on a monthly basis for her then to be disappointed! I don't think I could cope with constantly being asked how it's going!

So AF is due around 25/01, we could be in with a chance this month. I am keeping my fingers crossed for BFP, although I have wine waiting in the fridge ready for AF's arrival.
