Welcome wine_night, this is definitely a great thread

Question - what are people's views on having sex more than once every other day? I have read conflicting things. My instinct is if I think it is a fertile/close to ov time, just do it every day for a few days, but not sure if that could be bad for some reason. I know some people say it could reduce sperm quality but other things I have read say there is no evidence for that. Confused!

Unless your OH has a problem with poor sperm/sperm production, the more sex the better in my opinion.

'Storing it up' is detrimental to mobility so releasing 'love juce' is the best way to ensure sperm is as healthy as possible

I agree.

Both times I got pregnant we did it once a day for the 3-4 days leading up to and on the day of ovulation.

I just wanted to make sure all bases were covered and didnt like leaving a day out!

And make sure you bd at least once before that in your cycle so like Lily says nothing is stored up!

I don't know if he has any sperm problems! He would tell you there is no way he does, as he already has a child. I would say....she was conceived 18 years ago and a lot could change in that time so he shouldn't be so sure! :rotfl: But there is nothing that we know of yet to indicate that he could have problems.

Thanks for your reply I think I agree with you. Actually acting on it will be a different matter come mid week when we are exhausted. 5am starts every day definitely take their toll!

Oh no I hope you are able to make up. Makes me think of that Friends episode where Monica and Chandler are TTC. She is ovulating and they have a fight because he smoked. He doesn't want to have sex while they are fighting so she says she has forgiven him....then after they do it she tells him she is still mad and only pretended so they could catch ovulation! :rotfl: I am fully prepared to have some moments like that

im waiting for ovulation was planing on bd every other day from last night but bf was so tired after work he fell asleep as soon as we got in bed lol im not ovulating yet though, i had a really weird dream last night i had a baby but it was the size of a toddler and i wasn't happy because i wanted a small cute one! haha

im awaiting the arrival of my new shiny treadmill trying to lose some weight whilst ttc so im a bit healthier during pregnancy, and hoping i might fall pregnant quicker if lose some weight too

Re doing it every day - we use the CBFM and aim for every day but to be honest, it normally turns out to be every other day as life gets in the way and one of us is tired etc! DH doesn't like to perform to demand so in my head we aim for every other day which we achieve around the high's and peak.

Hi guys. How do you no when you ovulate. Will I ovulate every month even though I only have one ovary. Does having cysts in the other one Stop me ovulating.
