Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Claire, thank you, once I'd figured out how to read it. Lol. I really appreciate your concern and understand why you told me. I would have done the same. I'm hoping things will be as ok as they can be. I have had some red bleeding so far but with no actual pain as yet just a dull period ache. If things get really bad I can call the hospital. I was reluctant to have to do the surgical route as I hate hospitals and I have my others to think about, most of all my gorgeous seven month old baby girl.
My OH is off work tomorrow and will cancel his weekend shift if needs be. I am just trying to relax this evening and have got a large glass of red. I think I deserve it after the day I've had. X

    You most definitely do.

If your OH has to leave you at any point perhaps get him to call you every hour/you call him or something just so he knows you're ok. But hopefully he can stay with you.

I had a massive fear of hospitals so don't be afraid to change your mind if it gets too much at home. It's a day procedure so as long as your OH could have a day off to look after your little girl & another whilst you recovered you'd be ok. So don't worry about that if it ended up happening.

But hopefully it will go smoothly at home -as much as something like this can xx
  • Really sorry to hear your news claretsgirl, look after yourself xx
Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept
  • Thank you again for all your kind words. I got a good nights sleep and the inevitable happened early this morning and fortunately I wasn't in any pain. I've had a nice cup of sweet tea and given my baby her breakfast. You have all been so kind and your words mean so much.
Fingers crossed for a future sticky for everyone. X

So am now majorly confused about this whole ttc business. Called the doctors this morning and he has agreed to do a blood test - I believe this is the CD21 test - however as I rang up to say I am bleeding now (mid cycle) he is now classing this as the start of the cycle. I did mention my cycles are usually around 33 - 36 days long, but am not sure whether this got taken into account.

So have booked a test for his version of CD21, which if this bleed I am currently experiencing is a blip, would make it CD35 to me

I have no idea which to even track, and anyway considering my cycle is longer, isn't CD21 too soon to book the test anyway as it is not likely I will have ovulated at CD14???

Anyone make any sense of this?

The 'cd21' test needs to really be done at 7dpo or thereabouts. Like you say no point doing it cd21 if you know you dont ovulate on cd14 or anywhere near it.

If youre having a weird cycle, personally Id just wait til the next one so you dont get a result that doesnt actually mean anything because you dont know if it was done at the right time if you see what I mean?

If your cycles are usually say 35 days on average, then youd need to get the test done at around cd28. Do you normally ovulate around cd21?

What day are you on now?

When I had mine done, I just rang up the day I knew I was ovulating which I think that cycle was about day 32 for me lol, and asked for a blood test in 7 days time.

Hugs Claretgirl, The only piece of advice I can give is make sure you are resting, I had a natural MC and it really shocked me how tired I was.

Thanks to everyone who gave me vitamins advice. I went with multivitamins and evening primrose along with my folic acid.

Thanks Claire I thought it wouldn't make sense. The trouble is I don't know when I ovulate - the months I have had a positive it has varied - 26, 21, 24 - but then the cycles have also varied e.g the positive on cd26 had a cycle of 33 days, so either a short LP or incorrect. In my mind I am on CD14, so don't know whether to start again or not!

Now also got the added factor of having booked the test I have finally got a completion date for moving house - meaning I will need to change doctors anyway, so now am thinking should I just cancel and then when I change doctors tell them all the issues and rebook
