Really sorry to hear your news claretsgirl. I can only imagine what you must be feeling and don't know the answer to your question either but sending big hugs of support. Xxxx:A26/5/14 - Baby Neve - left footprints on my heart0

I bought my folic acid at Morrisons, who usually have a 3 for £5 offer going for supplements. Tiny tablets in a white and yellow container (if they haven't changed it).
claretsgirl - I'm not 100% sure, but I think your last day of bleeding with a miscarriage is CD1 (maybe the first day with no bleeding?). There is a miscarriage thread here on MSE and the ladies there are excellent at providing not only advice from experience, but also a great group of support. It's one thread that I wish no one ever needed to use, but it is a great one to have when it is needed.0 -
Asda (one of the local smaller stores) had folic acid in today at £1 for (I think) 30 which seems very reasonable.0

Thank you for the folic acid advice. I found some in Tesco in the end, 65p for 90 tablets in case anyone else is interested.:A26/5/14 - Baby Neve - left footprints on my heart0

I will be rejoining this thread as we found out today that our baby unfortunately stopped growing at eight weeks. I would have been twelve weeks tomorrow. I am now awaiting a natural miscarriage but haven't started bleeding properly yet. I am a little bit scared to be honest. Does anyone know if that will be classed as CD1?
Love to all. X
Ive put this in white incase TTC ladies dont want to read
Did the hospital give you any other options?
When I had a mc my baby also stopped growing at 8 weeks and I found out at the 12 week scan. To be blunt and honest with you, I would not want to miscarry naturally at that stage. I had an erpc and would do the same thing again. I did read you had been given some proper painkillers though which my hospital wasnt offering:mad:.
If you are happy to though, please do not at any point be at home by yourself. I dont want to scare you but Ive heard so many stories of women suddenly bleeding huge amounts and being rushed to hospital. A lady on the miscarriage thread very recently if you want to read her story, went home to have her miscarriage naturally and she passed out being sick and her husband had to basically hit her awake. My friend had a natural miscarriage at home a couple of months ago, and her baby stopped at 6 weeks, and she bled for 3 weeks and said she was on her hands and knees in the bathroom in agony.
Some people really will just have whats like a bad period and I hope its that way for you.
But just incase, I cant not say anything. So please make sure you have your DH or a friend or relative be with you or at least a very short phone call away even if in the end you dont need them, because I would hate to think of you passing out or something on your own.
A natural miscarriage can take a while Id say from 1-3 weeks from what Ive read, so Id count from the last day of bleeding.
Im so sorry for your loss, the miscarriage thread is really good on here x0 -
Hugs claretsgirl. So many people here to offer you support & advice. xxx
I've just found out that one of my bridesmaids is pregnant with her 2nd, and she caught on my wedding night..... Well at least someone did, would have been nice if it had been the bride though! *sigh* 1st pregnancy announcement since we started TTC, seems silly but I wanted it to be me before any of my friends trying for their 2nd.0 -

Huge hugs Claret. As far as I have been told, CD1 is usually classed as the last day of bleeding of a m/c, not the first.
Having said that, I started bleeding on 20th March 2013 after the miscarriage and *think* I ovulated on the 6th April judging by the EDD I was given as I fell pregnant again straight after. My cycle was all a bit messed up though so it's probably not much help14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Claire, thank you, once I'd figured out how to read it. Lol. I really appreciate your concern and understand why you told me. I would have done the same. I'm hoping things will be as ok as they can be. I have had some red bleeding so far but with no actual pain as yet just a dull period ache. If things get really bad I can call the hospital. I was reluctant to have to do the surgical route as I hate hospitals and I have my others to think about, most of all my gorgeous seven month old baby girl.
My OH is off work tomorrow and will cancel his weekend shift if needs be. I am just trying to relax this evening and have got a large glass of red. I think I deserve it after the day I've had. X0 -
claretsgirl im so sorry its really hard when you lose a baby no matter how far along you are be it 8 weeks or 8 months, i am speaking from my own experience so i do know how it feels, just sending you love and hugs and be gentle on your self the next few weeks what ever you say or do people will understand, and do have a good scream or shout or cry whenever you feel the need0
