Without meaning to be rude, how do people find the time? Myself and OH have really hectic lives in the week, don't get home until 6pm at the earliest, we have to do work once we get home so DTD can get forgotten or we're just too exhausted.

PS: we got married in August 2013, so are already being bugged about when/if we are pregnant or will be. I was on a strict diet before the wedding, as you do, have put on a bit of weight and now people seem to think I must be pregnant!! NO I'M JUST FATTER!! ROTFL

I am worried about finding the time as well! We have a punishing schedule (up at 5am every day for me to drive hubby to the station, he gets home usually about 8pm and to sustain the 5am starts we really need to be getting to sleep at 10pm). Although I only work part time it is not much use if he is out of the house 14/15 hours a day! He also goes away on business a lot and I am really worried that if he is away during a fertile period, we could easily just miss the chance of trying one month. And if that kept happening, we'd be scuppered!

I am ashamed to admit (as we are both relatively young newlyweds) that normally we can easily go a week or more without sex (often more if I am honest!). I really don't know how we will manage to do it every other day, and don't want it to become a chore, either :( not sure what the answer is!

It's a difficult balance to strike, especially with work and so on. If you're both tired, it's difficult to want to. DH and I have never managed every second day because he has a low sex drive - he's basically a sex panda and also because it's less fun if you feel like you have to all the time. This is where we found opks helped because it meant that we would make sure we dtd at the right time, whether we were in the mood or not. It does ruin the romance somewhat when you say "right, I've ovulating, do me", but we tried to have slightly more spontaneous, non-babymaking sex othertimes in the month. If we hadn't used opks, I don't think we'd have ever timed it correctly, not that it matters now.

As for the questions alipops, we got them from when we got engaged. I gained weight after the wedding too so had family members patting my belly, and now that I'm on medication I can't drink on, I'm getting loads of raised eyebrows when I decline to drink. It's a bit upsetting because of the whole infertility thing, but we're trying to just let it wash over us. I posted a while back on funny retorts to make to these questions, like saying you have 6 kids already but they're kept in your basement sweatshop where they make shoes and cheap clothes/your husband's real name is Fritzl and he keeps them in the basement for nefarious reasons.

  • Thank you.

I knew TTC was going to be a hard journey- and I was prepared a little bit for it, but I don't think I was prepared not to even have af for over three months- so I guess Im not actually a new bit to here anyway!!:)

It is difficult finding the time, we tend to find a bit of time either in the morning (we have between 20 mins and half hour between the alarm going off and us having to be out of bed!!!) or weekends- so lets hope that when I actually do start having periods and therefore ovulating that it falls at the weekend!!!:rotfl:

    Hugs keepergirl.

We had a lot of comments leading up to the wedding about having a baby- luckily they have stopped for now as now we are trying I think I would find it a lot harder to deal with comments than I did before.

Think pink I really hope af arrives for you soon.i know its some what different I don't have natural af just bleed when my lining comes away and never ov on my own.

Code I've known since my teens I've got pcos so getting pregnant was always something I knew would never happen without lots of help.
  • Sorry about af Keepergirl. Do you mind me asking how many cycles of clomid you're tried, is it for PCOS? I'm due to start in Clomid & have read so much able horrible side effects I'm hoping something magically happens before then! CD43, thanks code for the lists! Fed up of waiting for af now after stopping my 3 months of the pill to see if that helped my cycles, I just want to get on and have a "normal" cycle now!

It's a new month, and I just wanted to pop on here and ask if any of the new people (or anyone who isn't new) would like to be put on the front page. I've tried to keep up with updating it, but I haven't added new people in a bit.

It's not a requirement to be on the front page, just an option if you'd like it.

Here is an example of the preferred format (ThinkPink, I'm using yours as an example, hope you don't mind!):

    ThinkPink (30) TTC#1 since 10/13
name, (age), which # are you trying for, since when you started trying

Also, if there is anyone I need to remove from the front page, please let me know!

Thanks, and I hope everyone has a great day!
