Time has absolutely flown since my 12 week scan. It's my last day on this thread today too ... Going to miss you ladies!! X
Oh, I forgot it's my last day too. How sad.I can't believe how quick 12 to 24 weeks went. Although it's been a fun time as it has been the time of telling most people our good news, post 12 week scan excitement, getting a proper bump, feeling movement, and the reduction in sickness so can do more fun things.
It's not been problem free, as many of you know, and I've never been to the hospital/doctors so often in my life, Ive rattled with all the medication I've been prescribed, and I still struggle to walk much and sit up straight in reststaurants for a whole meal. However it's been exciting times.
Due to Xmas and New Year, plus house buying and moving, I bet the next 12 weeks will fly by and then I'll be massive and about to start maternity leave!!!!!Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Well the tights done their job and were comfy so mamas and papas gets the thumbs up from me. I'm tired today, was at a wedding last night and stayed til the end. This will sound terrible
Like I'm an alcoholic but I did really resent everyone else who could have a drink lol! I had a rose wine spritzer and didn't even finish it as thought what's the point lol!! It's not even that I drank a lot before just every now and again
Sure it'll be worth it0 -
Con, it's like when you're on a diet all you can think about us food. I hate being denied something as I then miss the 'option' to have it, even though I often chose not to. I miss Prosecco when going out for meals, I miss the occasional amaretto when I fancied it and I miss having a baileys when I'm under the weather. Xmas and New Year will be fun. :rotfl:Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

My birthday is over the Christmas break and its the second year in a row I'll have been pregnant. Thankfully this time I'm later along and everyone knows... Traditionally I ask for 'consumable' gifts as we live in a small place. Last year over birthday and Christmas I received 3 bottles of wine, a box of real ale, a box of cider and some boozy sweets... My OH was delighted but I did feel a bit sorry for myself.
This time (all being well) I'll be grateful to have got so far and be past V day. :-) how priorities change!
Congratulations to those graduating to the next thread today... Hope to join you there in 5 weeks time :-)Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
I'm off to the next thread tomorrow too. Can hardly believe it! I'm sure I'll still have to lurk to check how you're all getting on.
I went to a Baby and children's market sale today and got some lovely things for my little boy. Some of stalls weren't very good but I found one where there was loads of clothes that hadn't even been worn, some still with tags. I was trying not to go too mad as we'll get lots of pressies of clothes but now I'm back home I wish I'd bought more
Con1888- I'm the same. I don't usually drink much but would love a few drinks at Christmas. I was given a bottle of champagne before 12 wks and while part of me wants to keep it till baby is born I will probably just watch everyone else scoffing it at Christmas. I might have one glass....0 -
13 weeks today
Good bye to the ladies moving on up to the big thread! xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Good luck to all the ladies off to the big board!!!! Will be joining you in a couple of weeks!!
I picked up my baby bus this weekend - a Vauxhall Zafira!! Big enough to fit 5 children in the back haha!! Just wanted it for the massive boot space when the seats are folded away - it's huge!!! It needs a couple of bits doing to it, but its better than my old car.
Re alchohol - I've not been a big drinker for the last few years but I do miss it. Since I've been pg, I had a small glass of prosecco at my friends wedding and a glass of red wine while I was away last week. The red wine I'd been looking forward to for ages but I didnt even enjoy it that much - probably because I felt a bit guilty. Will probably enjoy it more when baby is born but even then I'll have to be careful because of the breastfeeding!! Might as well just sign up to be teetotal now!!!
The one thing I was worried about missing out on was mulled wine at Christmas - its one of my favourite things ever!!! But I found an alcohol free version at IKEA this weekend and it's gorgeous. Bought a couple of bottles to try it - and had a hot glass last night. Just like the real thing! I'm going to head back in a couple of weeks and get about 10 bottles in for over Christmas!!!0 -
Ooh that mulled wine sounds nice, thanks for the tip! Am 13 and 4 today, have manaed to lose another pound but as I'm so close to going down another stone barrier I'm going to try extra hard next week!
Bye to those who are moving up xx0 -
I'll miss my champagne on Christmas day, I guess Shloer will have to suffice lol, I'm designated driver this winter.
Just in from a nice day, took dog to some outdoor training and OH has roast chicken on for dinnerhe's been much better since we had a talk, long may it last !!!

I don't like champagne so I won't be missing that, I did say to DH the other day I felt like a glass of cold Pinot Grigio but that passed in a few mins. I'm not really a drinker at all so I quite like having an excuse as to why I'm not drinking!
I'd feel guilty anyway, I had a mince pie yesterday that tasted a bit alcoholic & almost spat it out!0
