    Did you make this yourself?

If not where did you buy it? I could kill for a burrito!

I made a stash on Sunday whilst bf was at basketball training and popped them in the freezer so I'm going to have one each day at work with salad. Nice and filling plus more nutritious than some of the lunches I've been cobbling together. I tend to spend time on bf's lunch and neglect my own need for one! Easy little things to knock together; shredded chicken breast (although next time I'm going to do cubed chicken), 1 tin of refried beans, half a jar of salsa, some grated cheese and wraps. You can then add rice of anything like that to bulk them out but I've left them at that and not put too much filling in as I'm having each with a small plate of salad and some fruit :)

Ok, thanks Birdie85, I am assuming high risk would be out of 100 or something. I will wait to see. xx

    Hope you're keeping well samtoby

I've seen someone on the board previously who was 1 in 8, so those numbers can get pretty low.....

(My number came by letter as I live in England too, and was 1 in 50,000)
    TTC #3..........

I've just called to book my nhs antenatal classes and have been told that they are all fully booked until end of March! Eeek!
Not sure what to do now? I can't afford the NCT ones (I won't get discount as we are over the salary bracket but we physically can not afford to spend that much money with everything else we've got to pay for!)

Will the hospital frown upon me if I haven't been to the classes?

This baby is a right little madam! First we couldn't get the nuchal measurement because she was lying the wrong way, and today we couldn't get all the head/face measurements for the anomaly scan because her head's too far down in my pelvis. I have to go back in two weeks for a rescan.

But the sonographer had time for a quick peak at the sex, and she thinks we're having another girl :) We'll be able to look again at the rescan...

:rotfl: Our little monkey was exactly the same, head really low. Took a while to get the right measurements, but got them in the end. All looking very healthy. Struggled to get any movement, as baby was all comfy using my placenta as a pillow!!
We looked away when she did the leg measurements, but she said baby was being all coy and she couldn't tell anyway! Good job we didn't want to know.

Hope you get a better "view" at the next scan. That's it for us I think, unless anything happens.

Also, I remembered to pick up a sample tube so that I can take some to the midwife next week.

Re the nuchal, I checked my letter whilst we were in the waiting room, we got 1 in 100,000!
 Mini me due March 2014

My friend didn't have any classes, her trust weren't running any (I guess due to cut backs), and she had a great labour. She said she went into it quite naive and thinks it helped her! The only thing she knew she wanted was a water birth and she got that and is really positive about her experience so it's not always a bad thing.

Have you asked if any other hospitals in the trust have any spaces? How early do people book these things?!
  • I haven't been told anything about the antenatal classes in the area yet by the midwives...should I have been?!
Not doing the NCT ones though for two reasons; firstly they are all a trek from home and at a time we can't manage, secondly the flipping cost - almost £200!! What the heckles!?!

We have names we like but I'm trying desperately not to settle on one until I see her <3 Can't help but be naturally drawn to the names we like instead of princess/bump/etc.

I know I've done a fair bit at work today but actually feel like I've achieved a minimal amount. Also need to sort out bf's rugby stuff with him for tomorrow's game night, get the washing machine on and sew another players strap tonight before we go to bf's mum's house for a little 'bonfire' (they have a fire pit) and fireworks plus stew/burgers :)

We shifted offices yesterday, we weren't supposed to move for three weeks but apparently 'things changed over the weekend' so I spent most of the morning carrying files/paperwork/belongings up to our new office (meant to be temporary but looks set to be permanent...much nicer home so hoping it is permanent!). Didn't shift anything heavy but feel like I did. I'm guessing it's because we now up to go up two flights of stairs to our room and back down them for printing/posting anything/seeing anyone/hot drinks/use the microwave etc! We're (there's only two of us in here full time) hoping the exec director will let us get ourselves a microwave, kettle and a few supplies to keep up here to eliminate the constant trekking!

Hiya  I've only just found this thread! I'm currently 22 weeks with my fourth child (boy). I found out I was pregnant the same week my hubby flew out to afgan so all the scans and appointments I've had to do on my own (well with other 3 in tow).

I've had to have more appointments as I've had pre-eclampsia and SPD in my last 3 pregnancy's. I've never reached my due date, my waters broke at 36+4 weeks last time and I gave birth at 37 weeks! (On the morning I was booked in for induction:rotfl:)

I've never been to any antenatal classes as they didn't offer them where I lived with my first.Twice I've given birth with no birth partners and I have to say in my opinion it was a lot easier :D No one else to worry about.

Luckily we picked names before hubby went away, just in case. Although it seems silly now as he's back in 10 days :D

  • I was sent leaflets about antenatal classes from my hospital when they sent me loads of info before my booking appointment/scan which to be honest was probably too early as they won't let you book until you're past 20 weeks anyway. I lost the leaflets ages ago! Might be worth giving your midwife/hospital a call to see when they have sessions.

I'm doing NCT classes, they're ridiculously expensive but my main reason for doing them is hoping to meet people who live nearby as my friends who do are still working full time, whereas my friends with kids all live a bit of a drive away.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sorry I haven't been around - work is manic and only been back for 2 days!

samtoby - lovely to see you here! Although it's in passing for me, as I'm off to the next thread in a few days!!!! I never got my nuchal fold result but I saw on the screen at my last appt that it said low risk.

lushlifesaver - you obviously have good taste ;) your moses basket sounds a bargain! Hope your scan comes round quickly for you. I have no idea how much weight I've put on but on my 23 week video they said about 15lbs is normal by this point and going forward about a lb a week. But everyone is different, I wouldn't worry about friends, I also popped out a bit more this week so have a definite bump now, at 20 weeks I still was in the 'podge' stage! xxxx

con - sorry I have no advice but hope it eases up for you.

sexki11en- great news to hear you have started to buy things. Think when you've been through what you have it must take a while to actually feel real. We had a bit of a journey too (I don't ovulate on my own or even on clomid!) but nowhere near what you have been through and even now at 23 weeks, I can't believe it. Makes you treasure every day :)

Claire we really struggled with names. Have always had our girl one but I'm pretty sure little one is a boy. We've had a nightmare! I've obviously taught a lot of naughty boys :rotfl:we do have one now though so he had better look like it!!!

twigpig hope you are ok xx

squ1rrel - have you spoken to your mw? I'm sure you won't be frowned upon - if you want them though, is it worth seeing if she can suggest an alternative? That's really annoying!!!

Lannie congrats on team pink :) sorry she was a pain but yay for another scan!

sjlou glad your scan was good and yay for team yellow! Our baby was a pain and wouldn't have his/her spine measured so I had to have the bed tilted right up and move from side to side to see if baby would move and s/he did eventually! It was early though :p

    Welcome kat!
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D
