I can't do that nub theory on my scan picture the bottom and legs are more like shadows where as the head and upper body is really clear.

Yeah and TBH I'm not even sure what I was looking at was the 'nub' so I've probably got it totally wrong but I was totally convinced it was a girl before that so I'm sticking to my guns!!

15 weeks and 2 days here and no flutters or movement yet. Feeling quite apprehensive about feeling baby move for the first time!! Also feeling a bit nervous as it hit me yesterday that I'm almost halfway through my pregnancy already and we've not even brought a house yet.......QUEUE PANIC MOMENT!!!!
Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

    Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T
  • Hello - can get my scan date added? 8th jan - thanks!
I do feel like time is speeding! Told my parents and family they really pleased for us. Other people think we are slightly mad for having a 3rd! I feel same as when pregnant with the girls so I reckon im team pink - though won't be finding out, nothing like the surprise at birth for me!

I may equal up team blue a bit more as I am convinced bump is a boy. I will be stunned if I am wrong. I am not bothered if bump is pink or blue.

Does anyone else have a feeling?

Yep I defo think I'm having a boy and will be genuinely surprised if it's a girl !! Not even looked at girls clothes or anything lol.

I too am not bothered though.

I was pretty sure it was a boy, I would have been surprised if they'd have said girl. I have to admit that I was slightly hoping to be proved wrong mostly to even out the girls in our recent family - currently at something daft like 5:1 in the past few years.

Does me good for clothes though...
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

lush - I'm in the same boat as you having lost almost 6 stone too. I know I'm not eating as well as I could be, but I'm so hungry all the time. I know my habits are rubbing off on hubby too so I need to be a bit better or it'll be rough next year trying to lose it all again :(
What was that on the PS4? Hubby is waiting for his and guaranteed before xmas. Thought the old games would work on the new one?

Hi twigpig, nope so disappointed that the console isn't backwards compatible! Almost all other playstations have been but not this one! If he has Fifa14 on PS3 or COD:Ghost on the PS3 and got either/both from Game and has proof of purchase he can trade them in for £40 off the PS4 versions, and one game bf got recently (sorry can't remember off the top of my head) had a code in the box which you put in on the PlayStation store to play the PS3 version through the PS4 and the internet - hoping they bring out similar codes or updates for other games!
Also; you now have to pay to play against people online, you can get 3 or 12 month subscriptions. Its £39.99 a year so not masses but still another change from being free :'(

In baby news I think we have chosen the name for sure; bf has put it on two Christmas presents to me! He says she told him what to buy but I think its an excuse to go over his budget :-\ we also have a mw appointment today so my list for today goes like this:
I'm feeling movement but less than expected is there a 'normal' amount? Guessing the answer here will be no!
Do I need to get my flu jab?
Please stamp this form (sure start maternity grant form)
I think I'm getting varicose veins behind my knees (well the veins pop out sometimes) other than putting my legs up what can I do about them!?
And finally, I'm still constipated and its no fun...what can I do other than what I've already tried (everything I know bar prune juice cost I can't stand that stuff!)

In non-baby news we starting decorating for Christmas at last yesterday! I say at last because we would have done it last weekend but we didn't have a tree :( that problem is now resolved and the living room is done, kitchen window is done but I'm making some bunting which I want up in the kitchen and then we have a cherry blossom tree light outside the front door which is super pretty but I think I want a little something in the hall. Bf has put my gifts under the tree already, I'm going to gradually sneak his under there as I get them :-). Everyone else's are under the cot haha. Wrapped my family's last night but we have bf's lot to wrap for. All are bought apart from bfs! Eeee so exciting and I think baby thinks so too :-)

Are you kidding??!!!! They've kept that pretty quiet!! That is so bad of them to do this, knowing that all the hardcore sony fans will have to end up buying all new ps4 games just so they can play them! OH is planning on buying himself a ps4 in January, I am going to have to warn him about this because I have a feeling this might mean he doesn't end up buying one.

The fee to play online is also absolutely laughable. They've really made themselves look bad with this one. As if they don't already make enough money!

Gosh sony are such money grabbing scamps!

  • Ah forgot to add something also - my best friend yesterday brought me the sweetest book ever! It's a guess how much I love you book, but they've made it into a baby/pregnancy book for the mum and dad to fill out when they were pregnant and also after the baby is born. It is soooo cute!! So if anyone is struggling with what to ask for for Christmas, and doesn't already have a pregnancy/baby book, I would definitely put this on your list :)

I've tried to be really clever and put a link in to it but I don't know if it will work lol http://www.marksandspencer.com/Guess-Much-Love-Baby-Book/dp/B001HX77ZU

It can only be presumed that they were under pressure to compete for the Christmas market against the Xbox One released the week before; they are relatively easy problems to fix in that they could run up on/multiple system upgrade/s and then provide codes (distributed via the store) to enable PS3 discs to be supported through online gaming BUT the question is; with so many new games due to be released directly on to the PS4 platform as well as PS3 is it a viable option?
I had ordered bf GT6 special edition which isn't initially being released on PS4 but will wait and see what the new year brings.

Having been worried about little movement this morning I am now experiencing a wiggly bean to funny extremes. Was so aware that I hadn't felt 'proper' kicks since Friday (when bf first felt her) that I got the Doppler out this morning for a listen. She must just be a very content and calm child!

    Arghhh we have mice !!!

I'm seriously freaking out incase it will harm me/baby ! Phoned environmental health who are coming out in the next 3-5 days and phoned OH who is at work, he's going to clear the cupboard they are in when he gets home and try find out where they got access.

My only saving grace is they haven't accessed the rest of the house ( as far as I know) as the cupboard is the only place they seem to be, we have a cat so perhaps that's why they haven't ventured further.

I feel so unclean though I want to bathe in bleach now !!!

Hello all - i have been lurking for the last few days, i have painted a cross on our front door as DS and OH have been poorly. DS had tonsiitus but bounced back within 2 days of antibiotics and is back to school today (YAYYYYY) but OH is dragging it out as the men folk like to do and is still tucked up on the sofa, bad timing really as he has an accountancy exam tomorrow and has hardly done any revision!

All the talk of the nub theory promted me to dig out my scan pictures and squint at them for 10 minutes desparetely trying to see some sort of 'nub', it was no use, the waist down is just a blur - I'm so impatient, i just want to know now!!!!

Anyone else have the achy hips only at night? it's fine in the day but when i lie on my side at night i get a sort of burning/stabbing sensation near my hips, No amount of pregnancy pillow adjusting seems to help, I guess it's just one of those niggles but it's keeping me up at night. OH suggested its PGP after doing some 'research' online but i think it's in the wrong place and its the wrong pain if that makes sense. I'm starting yoga next month so maybe the yoga teacher lady will be able to advise.

    Anyway i'll stop rambling now!!

    C xx 14+6 and 16 days until i get married!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
