Sorry but i cant see where he says that on this thread or was it mentioned on another thread somewhere?notanewuser wrote: »The OP is buying phones to sell on for profit. That's a business in every sense of the word.0 -
Elsewhere. The words "profit" and "breaking even" in the OP are the big clue.

Apologise profusely and ask the buyer to return the phone for a full refund. I do this every time I have an unhappy buyer and not one of them has ever returned the item.'Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.' George Carlin0

Hi. So do you think i didnt describe the fault accurately? I feel i did. I clearly stated the button needs to be pressed harder then usual, yet her argument is she feels its abit too hard!!! Seriously??
I never said that. Still, to you that description may be accurate. When you used the phone you pressed the button a little harder and it never really bothered you. However, who is to say who got the phone. There are little kids that are given mobiles and slightly pressing harder to you may may be pressing really hard for them.
You could have worded the fault differently, but either way the buyer is not happy and that's what ebay are bothered about. The ebay rules remain the same regardless of what you think about the description, the phone or the buyer. The buyer is not happy so refund upon return. Otherwise if they do open a case ebay will tell them that and the buyer will be refunded, plus you stand more chance of getting negative feedback. This is really unfair. I described it perfectly yet just because she is not happy now she should automatically win the case?
Btw no dispute has been opened, i just think she is trying to get some money out of me.
You didn't describe it perfectly. It's your opinion that it wasn't that hard to press. As above, tell her to return the phone for a refund. You may find she's suddenly happy with the phone or she may return it in which case you need to refund her. She may be trying to get money out of you or she may just be unhappy with the phone for the reasons she stated (however stupid it seems to you).0 -

3) Talk to the seller and state (in a nice way) that you did highlight the fault on the sale page and if they were in doubt, they should have contacted prior to the end of sale.
Doing this would enable me to list a phone with a "slightly sticky" home button, send out one with a non-functioning home button, and when the buyer queries it I say "you should have contacted me first" and they have no comeback?0 -
Hi. This is not a buisness. I brought 5 phones from a friend who closed his market stall down. I could probably make 200 £ profit if i sell them all. If you really tgink i should declare my self a buisness for the sake of 200£ you probably are abit doo lally.
Anyway its not going well and i will be happy to just get back the money i spent now. :-(0
