  • Surely if the case is as clear cut as you say it is then if the RCVS won't take any action then the only course open to you is to sue.

Can't see what the problem is - clear cut case, you sue not so clear cut you listen to reason and then if you have money to gamble with, you sue.

RCVS do not deal with negligence. They have made this very clear to me. My pre action letter was responded by my vet with only compliment slip saying "your letter has been passed to our layers."

I have decided. I am taking legal action.

With all respect there is a low platelet count and critically low platelet count. My dog's count was 14. There is no way any surgeon would proceed before sorting this by drugs or blood transfusion. Trust me I have read all about this for the past 10 months.

A count of 14 means what exactly? What Units are you talking about?

I would really like to see you take legal advice one more time.
Please don't go into something that will bankrupt you.
No one can take away your memories. You have those, and they are valuable.

I think you also need to prepare and have a question and answer session with the vet.

Unfortunately I think hachette despite looking for advice in their OP will choose to ignore it. Which is a shame.

It is no about money I gain or loose it is about principle. I have read a story on this site about a lady loosing a dog totally due to veterinary practice mistake. It was such sad story but the vet admitted to her that they were responsible.

I really admire that and if my vet did this I think I could forgive and move on but did not happen and is not going to happen.

It is no about money I gain( being refunded) or loose it is about principle. I have read a story on this site about a lady loosing a dog totally due to veterinary mistake. It was such sad story but the vet admitted to her that they were responsible. They did not have to, it was easy to cover it up.

I really admire that and if my vet did this I think I could forgive and move on but it did not happen and is not going to happen.

I don't think money has been mentioned recently, why are you now bringing it up yourself?
