Would that not indicate the dog was seriously ill even before the surgery?

What my dog had is called Thrombocytopenia he had other syptoms of this like fever and murmur. All ignored. This illness can be due to tick bite and is treatable with drugs or blood transfusion.

So Hachette, now that you have the RCVS' findings, are you going to get a revised opinion from your solicitor or not?

Clearly you are not listening to the views of people here, so why not get your solicitor's view now that all the facts are available?

Because (and call me a cynic) a lawyer will do what you tell him to do - after all if you want to spend money with him chasing a pointless (not saying this is one but you get my drift) case then so be it.

The truth is I want to present the case myself. No solicitors. I know everything that has been said by my vet and the staff involved by heart. I know all the facts about my dog's condition, how it should have been dealt with ( according to the guidelines) his post mortem report ( confirming he bled to death with no sign of cancer) his blood test result (critically low plt) my vet explanation (low platelets due to machine error) other vets opinions (would never proceed with such blood result) etc.. I will not go back to my original solicitor as he is also a vet and they all support each other. I don't think I could trust him for that reason.

You can get advice from the citizens advice bureau.
I would imagine you would need a report from a professional though as part of your case.
There is a thread on here called " can I take a vet to the small claims court "that you might want to look at, started by mrbadexample , I can't post links , there are some good points there.

I spoke to vet forensic today. He has asked me to forward all my documentation to him to look and he will give me his opinion.

Will he sign that report and be prepared to give evidence if you proceed with legal action? If not then it's a worthless exercise.

Yes written evidence, that it what they do. He said they normally take instructions from solicitors but agreed to do it for me when I said I do not want to employ solicitor.
