No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries October 2013

Really feel for you asset, I suffer terribly with back pain at times and it's the worst. Mine isn't caused by my mattress, I have a very comfortable and supportive memory foam one, but sounds like yours could be.
Although it can be tempting to rest, I find that the best thing is to keep moving to stop it seizing up - gentle exercise such as walking or swimming helps to ease it a bit from my experience. If you have a desk-based job try doing some yoga stretches too - avoid sitting still all day.

Ahhhh do they? I never knew thisDiorific one, while gorgeous colour and packaging, stinks! I've looked online and it seems to be the norm with this one, someone said it has a 'distinct French fragrance to it', I thought "Oh, that's why it reeks the same as Bourjois then!".
Why put a scent in a flamin' lipstick?! *Urgh*
Sorry but it would be perfect otherwise, I had to chuck a L'Oreal lipstick once because it had much the same 'scent'
Ewwww gross, what does it smell like, can you describe it? I don't wear lipstick so I don't really know if they smell or not normally excpet for that generic cosmetic smell which I don't mindSundaysgirl wrote: »No - please tell!
By the way, if you're planning a small BS spend anyway, I think they have a "spend £5 and get free body butter" deal at the mo... Sorry to lead you astray!
Ah OK I will post them up in a bit. Oh dear...well if I do get a free one I will re-gift it to someone, probably at Xmas as if you have seen my list you will know I do NOT need anymore lotions :rotfl:Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Asset I hope your back gets better soon, maybe go and see a sports therapist as they will fully assess you and you can talk about the situation and they might be able to shed some light on it :j I expect it is the matress at your OHs place though IMO

OOH do they, I might have to try this. Is it easy to make a pumpkin pie?Evening.
UU's
Lush coco lotion WNBA finally got to the end of this. It nice enough but nothing special. I really don't think it helped that I added a perfume oil to this as I smelt like an apple crumble everytime I applied it.
It never had much of a smell did it? It's been discontinued now. Lots of UUs for you :j Good going
Another UU for me today Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo 250ml I bought this in another desperate hope that I might have found something that would help alleviate itchy dry scalp problems. WNBA - expensive and I needed to use loads at a time to get any sense that my hair was clean.
I found it not remotely moisturising for my coloured hair and hated the sickly sweet smell, which reminded me of Body Shop circa 1980s Dewberry.
Hahahaha I remember those sickly sweet smells, I had a dewberry set for xmas once, they still had it in the 90s don't worry about that :rotfl:
I used to love those sickly sweet smells. I like spicy ones and earthy ones these days.
So finally, my holiday UUs:
-2x L'occataine rose perfume sample sachets WNBA I didn't like the smell
-L'occataine Perfect Night Cream sample WNBA prefer other creams, this was quite good though.
-Lush Fairtrade honey shampoo sample WMBA lets see how these othe shampoos pan out
-Lush Ultralight sunscreen-WDBA but they don't make it now.It was a few years old and still worked plus its one of the few that doesn't irritate my skin
I'm still compiling my list would you believe...there are so many bits and bobs just hanging around in unexpected places! :rotfl:

I bought this too - wouldn't have bought it at full price, and I'm glad I haven't ever tried it either! Fashion content was just too expensive for my tastes (how does anyone afford that stuff?)0 -
Just reviewing the stash and I am running low on moisturiser - I'm using up my functionlab which has been brilliant - Boots glitch on 3for 2. Any recommendations? Big fan of Clinique Superdefense too.0

Three UUs today:
30. Lloyds Pharmacy double sided square cotton pads - WBA, these are my favourite cotton pads, because they NEVER fall apart, no matter what you do to them!
31. Lush Dorothy Bubble bar - WBA, one of my favourites, but I have three Pumkins at the moment, which is the same scent, so I'm good for a while.
32. Lush Skin's Shangri-La moisturiser 10g - WNBA, too heavy for my skin.
Did a yoga class this evening - despite being nearly hyperflexible according to my physio, I found it incredibly difficult! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -
A TA: Dove Summer Glow Fair to Normal Body Lotion. I got this self-tanner with the idea of having glowing arms and legs whilst cycling in the summer. Used up 2/3 of it and didn't want to use what was left, as it's tricky to get right.
UU. BS Rainforest Hair Butter 50ml. Lord knows why I bought this, I used it a few times and got different results each time.
One time it washed out well and left my hair soft and sleek, another time it made it look like a chip pan and on the last application before chucking the bit that was left, it made my hair sticky and yerch.
Also UU. Yet another OS shower gel, not-quite-empty with a generous shower's worth of gel sat in the 'shoulders' of the bottle, discarded by my son, used by me. This one was Mint and Tea Tree. He does this with every bottle of gel.
My Lush 'ice hockey puck' of solid shampoo finally broke into bits today, but there is still several weeks' worth...
I avoided an toiletries NBI this evening by not accepting something Am@zon was offering me, though they may offer it again next week. UU
Hello Kitty shower gel - this was a gift to DD that even she wasny keen on. Very watery and had a strange sarsaparilla type fragrance - WNBA.
Lush snowman ballistic - DD liked it but there are other fragrances I prefer.
Ins
Sure max protection cream deo - HG
Nivea for men free sample.
Ole henrickson serum - this was a GWP.
Birchbox - which was actually good this month. No more buying toiletries0 -
UU BS earth lovers fragrance free sulfate free shower gel. This lathered really well, so lasted a really long time. It was very runny so easy to use more than necessary. WBA but not at full price (£5 a bottle is a lot to spend for 2months of shower gel)0

Oh crud
I've falled off the wagon rather a lot this month, placed a Philosophy order on Boots last night! 2 x 750 pts + 1000 bonus meant I only paid about £5 per bottle of shower gel instead of £14 but still, I didn't really need it!
Also have relented and purchased some Lancome Dreamtone from ebay, 10ml of samples for a tenner delivered, which actually makes it a LOT cheaper per ml than buying the whole 40ml bottle for £59! Just want to see what the fuss is about and as I have pigmentation issues I would love to find something that might really work!
Hello there,
am new to this thread and was rather intrigued to read that others also have a problem in using up their toiletry stash!!
however, I have obviously succumbed to temptation rather too easily, as I was wondering how you managed to get the philosphoy shower gel so cheaply. If I am right, did you buy 2x2 of shower gel to get 2x750 points and then 1000 points for spending over 50 pounds, but not sure if this is right?
thanks!!
(am also interested about the lancome stuff you mention - I have rather red blotchy cheeks so would love to hear how you get on with the samples!)0
