The apps on your phone that were using data were your responsibility to control, not Oranges.
You agreed to remove the data cap Orange had in place. You really don't have a case here.
As mentioned you can try and get them to retrospectively apply a data roaming bundle, or you can pray for some good will, but that's your lot.
so why did Orange not keep me informed of my usage.
not until i was back in the UK...... why did i get all my usage texts in the space of 30secs once i was back in the UK.
if i had been informed of the usage then i could have done something about it.0

            £75 to £90 on a phone bill?
wow, you sound like a clown, have fun paying the bill , you deserve it :rotfl:
 what a tool you are!!!
yes £75 to £90 extra so that i could send an email to confirm the final arrangements for a funeral!
why am i a clown??????? my bill is normally 50-70 so i removed the cap because i did not mind paying the extra little bit so i could use my phone for 2 mins longer and get the email sent.
only one clown here, you !!!!!!0

im with orange and was recently in spain, they notified me on landing that there was a daily data charge of £1.99 if the data amount was used (which it was on most days as its only around 15mb! utterly useless amount) and to top up and add a further 15mb text the number they supplied...of course incurring a further £1.99.....not sure how you have been blasted with £2k bill!0

Trolling aside - you can ask for a retrospective bundle to be applied, but they will only tend to do this once they investigate and prove (by talking to the foreign networks concerned) that you didn't get any usage texts while abroad. If they get proof that these messages did get received over there then the bill will stand.
Call and ask - however be warned they won't just backdate a bundle these days. They will investigate first.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

they didnt text me until i returned to the UK.
they told me the data rate and then sent me a string of texts of my usage, the daily usage texts. whats the point in sending them all at once when i am back in the UK.
 its a joke.
Everyone is missing the point! Orange did not notify me of my usage while i was in spain... they did not give me a chance to correct the apps on my phone. had they text me my daily usage at the time of use i would not have this problem.0

Because he was told that he had reached his £51 limit, and then said 'ok bill me as much as you like'.
£51 was a manageable amount, so why did he lift it so it could go far more than that?
If you need lots of roaming usage, buy a local sim card.0

 Eh?
They only have 2 daily data packages: £1 for 20MB and £3 for 100MB
....or are you on PAYG?I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
