My beef is when people are ignorant about duplicate posted no need for rudness ,ok got that off my chest now :p

I always find it hard to write - this has been posted before so check thanks etc without sounding impolite (or i think it sounds impolite!!) so i usually put a :) at the end.

Sometimes the posts may look harsh but i dont think anybody intends them to be that way its just difficult to phrase

I agree, so many times ive entered comps twice, because someone has bumped up a post from a comp i entered days ago, purely saying 'thanks for this comp' etc. Mind you, its been happening quite a lot lately, so i have been getting better at checking the thanks button before clicking!!!
Really dont mind if someone has something to say, its only the 'thanks' posts that can get annoying.

Prizes also come in dribs and drabs.
I had a 3 month 'break' when I had my baby girl in March and was still getting parcels through nearly every week from comps that i'd entered whilst still pregnant.
I usually get at least 2 or three prizes a week - sometimes more!
    Happy comping y'all!

Thanks snitterling good to know how to do that!

Another Roboform question, does eveyone use just the free version or has any upgraded? How much is it to upgrade & is it worth it?

    Thanks

I upgraded a few years ago - it cost me either £20, 20 dollars or 20 Euros, can't remember which. It's a one off payment, not an annual subscription.

But for that, it saves me several hours a week. You get an unlimited number of passcards, so if you have different log ins for different sites, you can save them, or those sites where the normal Roboform puts your details in the wrong place or doesn't insert your whole address, just save a passcard for that site and when you go back to the site it appears in your toolbar so you can fill the forms correctly with one click and no having to go back to check them every time.

And if you have a comp that you are entering over and over again, you can save all the info - just think of the Sure handbag comp that is on at the moment where you can enter daily - I have a passcard saved and just open the page and clikc "fill & submit" - job done in a fraction of a second.

If you do quizzes online it's great too because you can save your answers as you go along and next time you go back to the site just fill the form as far as you had got then add any new answers and save the new ones over the top of the old.

Also if several of you in the family are entering, you can have as many identities as you want.
How sweet it is to do nothing..... and then rest afterwards.

What a great thread :) I've been thinking of entereing some more comps myself to help with presents etc through out the year and although I don't think I'd be in your league guys I will certainly give it a try... just downloading and installing roboform to help it go faster :D

I've upgraded as well. The free version only lets you save about 30 sites, and complained to me when I went over 90. I have, literally, hundreds now. It's always nice to see when I go to a site I've not been on for a while, that the name comes up in the Roboform toolbar - then I know that I have a username and password/form fill for that site.

It either cost me £10, £15 or £20, I can't remember which, but I agree it's definitely worth it. Especially now that I've been told how to use it on popup windows!

I do the same as you Ferrarigirlie with the :) and then I hope I haven't offended anyone  . There is usually always some peeps including myself who may miss the comps from the original posting and I am grateful to all those who find and post the comps on here.
  • I defo think its worth it! Like Dooby, I'm not one for sitting watching TV all night so I find this a more worthwhile thing to do....everyone in work chats about what happened in hollyoaks and corrie the night before while I talk about what i've won the day before.....I know which I prefer!!
So far, since starting comping at the start of the year, i've won over £2500 and hoping to double that by December. :D

ok just been offered roboform pro and it costs $29.99 dollars or £19.99
those with nationwide cards will probably find it cheaper to buy it in us dollars making it about £15.00
  • :) I think sometimes, the 'thanks' button is a bit temperamental. mine doesnt always work...(especially if i am using uni computers...not sure why).

so i guess that is why people post a "thanks for posting" post in a thread. coz they want to thank the OP, and its also to keep track that they have entered the comp. ( if their name dont appear on the 'thanks' list, they will see their their 'thanks' post below the thread.) I try not to do it when the 'thanks' button is not working, and write down a list of comps that i have entered,..but this can be a bit tedious.

in short, i dont think they mean to bump it up or increase their post count :)
