Roboform is a god send i think, saves you time entering ur details so gives you more time to enter the comps.
I use this site and Loquax but only enter the comps i would like to win so enter about 20 a week? It sure is addictive thou lol!
Good Luck everyone0 -
Definitely worth it
There's a whole comping community out there too and some very nice peopleIf you have access to newsgroups take a wander over to uk.rec.competitions sometime.
I've had some lovely wins including phones, games, dvds, cd's a £500 shopping spree and cash (2 lots of £5K as well as smaller bits) and all for nothing as with internet comps you don't even have the postage to worry about (although mail in competitions are worth a look as they are lower entry so better odds of winning). Some of the nicest prizes are the "money can't buy" experiences-like we won tickets to a huge National Lottery black tie do at the Tate Modern (Lottery's 5th birthday I think) and had a fab evening mixing with the celebs and enjoying lots of free food and drink.
It's a fun hobby, stops you spending money and makes the arrival of the postman a much nicer eventI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I also subscribe to Winners Friend aint won however i do Radio competitions since 1996 and have won over £150k worth of goddies in the 11 years
My Advice Try Radio Virgin, Heart Fm but snag you have to go live on air to win, Big up the DJ and make him luagh and ur half way thereWaiting to win an ITV competition.....:A0 -
You're kidding right :rotfl:
We don't duplicate comps just to make it seem that we have quite a few comps. Site are highlighted as "new" when they have a new competition for users to enter (and that could mean a site appearing in the "new" section daily/weekly/monthly). If we just recycled comps before they closed then it would screw up the way our tracker works.
Anyway there's a fair few free web comps and quite a few free postal comps and hopefully not too many duplicates.

No i'm pretty sure i have seen posts that you say are new and then a few days later they are either there again or still there. Not only that but if i enter comps on here they will be new on Loquax days later.Darren0 -

I think sometimes, the 'thanks' button is a bit temperamental. mine doesnt always work...(especially if i am using uni computers...not sure why).
so i guess that is why people post a "thanks for posting" post in a thread. coz they want to thank the OP, and its also to keep track that they have entered the comp. ( if their name dont appear on the 'thanks' list, they will see their their 'thanks' post below the thread.) I try not to do it when the 'thanks' button is not working, and write down a list of comps that i have entered,..but this can be a bit tedious.
in short, i dont think they mean to bump it up or increase their post count
I've noticed it doesn't always work for me either and sometimes i have to go back to check.I have found though that it could be that i have thanked and then gone back very quickly and that might have something to do with it.Darren0 -

It comes from a different side of comping. When my postman started delivering prizes the prize I didn't expect to get was him:shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh: :shhh:
He gets up at 4am and my sleeping is all messed up.0 -
