Good afternoon ladies - please count me in again. Thanks to Natty and Dusty for the lists :A
I'm madly making chutney, jam and fruit liqueurs with produce from our garden, and finishing the final bits of getting DS off to uni at the weekend. It seems an age since he did his last exam, and as all his friends have now gone, he's definitely readyWelcome to WEEK 5 of the FLYLADY ME MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE!
We flyladies as signed below do hereby pledge to attempt to improve ourselves / our souls / our outlook (delete as appropriate) in our own personal challenge.
Please can you count me in  October is the official start of DH and my "Operation Showhome". Once it's just the two of us at home, we're planning to declutter, deep clean, organise and finish all the jobs that have been hanging around.
First off - do I spy a deep clean task in this week's list
Monday Musings ~ Kitchen and Dining Room
15 minutes...
Clean floors
30 minutes to spare...
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or manky stuff in there!!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Got an hour...
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Extra Mission ~ Choose one or more of:- One load of washing
- Empty bin and make it smell nice
- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- Clear and wipe the tops of the wall units!!
- Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
- 30 minutes ironing.
Get in that cupboard under the sink and fling everything you don't use.. if it hasn't been used in the last 6 months you don't need it.. fling it!! Give it a GOOD scrub out before replacing the things you do use and need to keep. Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

OH erecting the curtain pole.. he is yet to shower.. I fear I may need to cattle prod him to the bathroom like he is 14 lol.
Washing all caught up on.. drying is getting a bit overwhelming.. I also feel an ebay spree coming on. I hate ebay buyers and the extortionate fees and the lack of seller protection from the horrible ebay staff which allows nasty buyers to continue ripping buyers off and lying and damaging items so they get to keep the item and get their money back..

Thank you Bossy. Weird how much my second star means to me!
Valli, Has your going out purse turned up yet? I've been channelling 'Finding purse vibes.'
Busy collating piles of paperwork into a big red file. Keep wandering off to Fleabay and B&Q to cost things up. Not getting as much done as I should.Better is good enough.0 -

Absolutely! Thanks for joining us! Just add a note or pm me if you prefer if you want a star for the week!
Well! Roofer man turned up just now (would be tonight but their roof today hasn't been delivered  so they have finished early) to inspect plastering, has given me £100 discount for the mistake :money: and finished caulking. They are going to call next weekend to see if I want them to paint my ceiling (maybe!) and will come back once finished to refit my blinds, but other than that we are finished!!! Woot!:D. And, serendipity, the windowcleaner is on his rounds today :T
So I have decluttered ££££s but it is ££££'s well spent and I'm really chuffed with it and told them so. They've been very easy to have around, and have fixed every little problem that cropped up with very good humour. If Carlsberg made tradespeople, they'd make them like this
Apologies for the non-flying post. But I can mop the floor now, lol.Bossymoo

Not as much enthusiasm today as I'd hoped - no problem other than sheer laziness I'm afraid. I'm going to post what I've done just to shame myself.
- walked up to post office
- emptied another bag of office clutter so can see a bit more floor
- spent ages on the phone to my brother (he rang; I missed it so rang him back and irritatingly went 2 mins over my 'allowed' hour so will have to pay for it)
- contacted some students (heard back from one, which is something)
- watered plants on patio
- done a few phone calls/emails which needed doing but seem like they don't amount to much 'work'
- done a few surveys
That's about it really. Oh yes I did clean the bathroom wash basin and picked a few clothes up from the bedroom. And sat in the conservatory for far too long with a book.
Really don't feel like the gym this evening........someone give me a big kick please.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
