    Morning!

WFH today, done task 1 waiting for 2 to get to me so having a cuppa and hung the towels out to dry.

DS homework handed to teacher and reminded re book bag disappearing. PE kit found. DS tear-free :T and waved me off through the window. He's been nattering about after school club all weekend - he wants to go play table football! With his new friend Thomas!

I had a "put away" session last night so all surfaces are clear ready for a lunchbreak fly. And, I did the cupboard under the sink yesterday, so am feeling virtuous already!

Thinking of CY and mum today X

  • Morning everyone :hello:

I was peachy keen to get stuck in as of this morning, but I woke up at 3am feeling horribly dizzy and sick :( I had labyrinthitis 2+ years ago and this feels very similar. Fingers crossed it's just something viral.

So I will try a bit of pottering and see how I fair, but I'm not all that hopeful…
  • Oh fizzwhizz, hope you're ok x

My HHC will start at 1015.

    x
  • Healing vibes for FizzWhizz.

Gorgeous drawings Pigpen. I hope OH's mother appreciates them.

Bossy, Please may I have a star for reworking the novel's opening last week?

Discovered yesterday that I can wash all my thin cotton trousers and red long sleeved t-shirt that run like crazy in the machine on a cold wash. Excellent. Also, both households that came to dinner last night will help will the crabappley fest that is going to happen in November. I simply can't face dealing with 17kgs again on my own this year.

Most of the list stuff got done yesterday, so I'll finish it off and then get cracking on the room that will be occupied from 1-31st October.
    Better is good enough.

I have just unpacked my hospital bag that has been sitting in the dining room - it is from the 5th September:eek:

I have also put DS2's work washing on and given my eldest son a lift to work and listened to his tales of woe. Then I gave him a piece of my mind as he only texts me when he wants something and often goes incommunicado. Has anyone read the book by Sue Townsend about The Woman who Went to Bed for a Year Very funny but very poignant and just how I feel today. I was driving home imagining it :rotfl:
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Just going to have a cuppa & mince pie then I'm going to crack on with some more shredding.

In my HHC I made both beds, tidied DDs room up a bit, wiped down the wall by her bed which was looking filthy, put the bag of cleaning supplies/toiletries from yesterdays delivery away, my clean washing away, flung a binbag of rubbish, cleaned the bathroom (except the floor which needs henry-ing), put clean towels in now clean bathroom and put a wash load on. You can tell I'm having a 'thinking'/pee-ed off with the way the house looks day as I'm being much more productive than I usually am :rotfl:

I'm going for an hours challenge at 11.15 and seeing how much of the shredding pile I can clear before the shredder cuts out. For now, a nice cup of coffee.

    Morning ladies,
Thank you for the lists Dusty and Natty. I'm in again but after a huge effort last week, it still looks pretty good!
No work for me today and I'm feeling pretty blue about that:( Had a call for a job tomorrow but it's at the school that I finished at due to stress, so I said no thank you!

Weekend has been really stressful with DD being in a dance show three nights (she was great imo :D) and the wedding. The wedding was lovely but (I am about to rant)
I mistakenly invited MIL to stay Fri and Sat night which meant she arrived at four pm and we said goodbye at half nine last night:eek::eek::eek: talk bout a strain. She sat on her bum most of the time or interfered and wound the kids up the rest so I'm glad she has gone home:D Normally we get on really well but I've decided she only stays here for a night at Christmas and that's it for the year, I can't cope with the moods.
She got uppity as she is the groom's auntie and I think she expected to be on the photos but they chose just to have mums and dads, granddads and grandmas and brothers and sisters on the main photos, I was quite relieved but she was put out. Then when it came to find our table, we found it, decided where we were going to sit and were asked not to sit down until the bride had seen the room, so when we went back to the table 2 other guests, who were meant to be on that table too, had put their jackets on the chairs, cue MIL telling them they weren't on that table, going with them to check etc How embarassing:o
Thank goodness that's all over with- rant over!

    List time!
