OH on cat poo duty.. what he doesn't realise is there is about 3 times what he thinks there is.. then he is off to get Squeak, have a shower and go get his glasses fixed.

I'm perusing wallpaper for the front room and feeding the baby.

Best go sort the kitchen while Dot is asleep and Squeak is out.. HV coming to chat rubbish and irritate me later so be warned.. there will no doubt be a big rant!

    Morning all,
may be a bit of a lurker this week as we're at 7 sleeps till the move  Will do what's possible from lists and add my own bits each day though.
As I may not have time to read the threads fully please feel free to steal hugs and cheers as required throughout the week.
The weekend was mostly productive. Back window was stripped and painted, high up cupboards (Victorian flat with high ceilings) have been emptied so it looks like Christmas/Halloween got sick in the living room haha but at least I don't need to faff about with ladders on moving day. Washing machine handle got replaced after 6 years of using a screwdriver to open it. More packing and general tidying. Oh and picked up a pine dining table and chairs for £40 from gummytree! It's quite scratched but doesn't match the kitchen so I'd had plans to sand and re-varnish anyway.

    Have a good day all

2 loads out on the line
    2 loads in and folded
1 mountain of socks and undies waiting to go in the TD when I have aired off the couple of bits that were still damp from the line.
    WM x2
Sink filled with bleachy water to wash itself.

I am QUITE determined to get that kitchen habitable today, even if I don't manage to wipe it until tomorrow!

Loo and bathroom floors needs cleaning so I'll get those done when I next go to the loo! I believe there is a mountain of washing DS2 can bring downstairs for me :D

  • I have de-cobwebbed. Previous owner didn't ever do this, so it was quite a task.
All downstairs is dusted. I have sorted the understairs cupboard. Need to get a shoe rack for it.
Just finishing my lunch & will Hoover through.

My tv stand really bugs me. It's glass. It never looks dusted. I have dusted it AND cleaned it with glass cleaner & it still looks dusty. Not hideously dusty, but dust all the same.

    Pigpen, those drawings are brilliant.

  • Quick catch up with Fred and a brew. Beds thrown back together and DD3 mess on floor of DD1 old room removed before it multiplies all before DS went to nursery. That has to be a first, some nights lucky to see the bed made before climbing back in it :rotfl:

This week we are having a Deep Cleaning challenge.. dislodge those spiders.. chase out those bugs and degrot the grotty spaces. This is time-consuming.. so if you can't manage it, it doesn't matter.. but flying just keeps things ticking over and sometimes a better scrubbing is needed..let's see how this goes!

    Hi all

I'll be doing what I can in between dog-sitting duties for the first half of the week.:o Proper vacuum will wait til Wednesday afternoon, I'll just do "pick-up-the-worst-of-the-dog-hair" til then.;)

It's what I do, mate; we can flutter in stereo.:D
Molly it is fine to do you own thing, I always do, it's the Aquarian in me
I'm an Aries, and the easiest way to get me to do something is to tell me not to!:rotfl:

OH on cat poo duty.. what he doesn't realise is there is about 3 times what he thinks there is..
Is he reliable to find it all? Mr LW let the dogs outside yesterday; I asked him if he'd checked the garden for poo, he said "yes, and there isn't any". Five minutes later I went outside to put something on the washing line and what did I find? A big pile of poo! Luckily I didn't step in it.

Me-Mountain Challenge.... still struggling a bit; I've given up with jewellery while the dogs are here, after Cassie nearly strangled my by hooking her paw in my necklace.:D Still doing 30 mins WiiFit, and on Wednesday I shall get the mini-walker machine out again (not practical with dogs here, they'd be too likely to get their noses kicked). Also have a wax bath for my hands and feet scheduled for Wednesday evening.

I actually did 10 rows of knitting at the weekend! Not doing cross stitch while the dogs are here, as two very nosy canines and me using an embroidery needle doesn't seem like a good combination, given my propensity for dropping things.:o

Alarm has just gone on my PDA, so it's time for doglets to pop outside for a wee, then have their lunchtime biscuits.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
