Well done you! I won't be getting a star this week, but I'm excusing myself !!! I have done some painting and we've been icky too.

ANYONE ELSE WANT A STAR THIS WEEK???

Support worker visit decluttered (lovely lady, very understanding, poor woman has just lost her dad in similar circumstances :(). She gave me an idea of some of the sessions DS can join if he needs - there is a "angry dinosaur" session they use with children who need help working through anger, and other similar things. Just gives them help dealing with their emotions I guess. Sounds great in theory. I just need to let them know as and when.

DD wanted feeding so I've done us some lunch and while that was cooking I fried off some chorizo and onion with some smoky marinade mix and threw it in the slow cooker with the beans that have been on the go. Oh and some sweetcorn. Me and mum friend can have that with some fresh baguettes for tea while the littlies have sausage mash and veg... (We might even persuade them to try some soup!)

Need to put another wash on - although I should probably wait till DS gets home. We went in wellies this morning and I forgot to take his shoes  so he was in socks - the carpet was getting wet - then I realised he has trainers in his pe kit hurrah so he's wearing white shoes but never mind, rookie mistake.

This afternoon I need to get the garage into a fit state - cant have one of my friends kids having an accident :o it'll probably take me till school run time...

At least the roof is still holding up :T

ETA I ordered DD main Christmas present last night - a wooden dolls house but for fashion type dolls - for her Cinderella's (she has 3, to share the workload haha) and Snow White to live in :D

Hi all, I'm struggling this week. Need to throw a stick at the BD but can't be bothered to lift it. I'm not recopying my list as it's too long.
Think I'm going to do a bit of crochet to take my mind off it.

    Hi all.

I'm pleased to say I did today's room (spare room) yesterday, so I'm ahead of myself flying-wise; means I can concentrate on computer maintenance today, and I have back-ups to do on the recipe and photo flash drives, as well as the weekly accounts back up and other weekly stuff.:o

Raph if doing the grout in the bathroom is a tad overwhelming, why not split it into 4 chunks - one wall at a time?:o

Thank you LW for your lovely words to my Dd when i was younger i was very anti-social and painfully shy , i bearly spoke to anyone but luckily when i was 8 my parents divorced and i became a very confident child. Sorry your dogs have gone, do you have anymore to look forward to? My mam uses a lady to look after her dog too for at least 2 days a week, you offer a very valued service.
Interesting - I spent most of my childhood wishing so hard that my parents would divorce (at 8 years old, in my innocence, I thought if that happened, I'd just live with my mother and never have to clap eyes on my father ever again) but they didn't, they spent another few decades living together, hating each other and taking it out on me. Not looking for pity, it's just interesting to compare experience.:o

No more dogs booked yet; but the franchisee's 'puter is down so he's not able to match up dogs with hosts til it's sorted. He did assure me he'll have a canine or two for me soon, though.:o

I fear I don't deserve a star this week;:( I've slipped badly - haven't even washed my hair; though this is scheduled for tomorrow morning, when Mr LW will have time to help me. I did do my wax bath for my hands and feet though.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Aww, LW I don't feel deserving this week either :( feels a bit like why am I bothering. But, truth be known, it does make me feel better when I have managed it. But I don't feel very motivated. It's a catch 22 isn't it?

Garage tidied so we have loads of room to play. Tempted to go up to B&M but DD doesn't want to budge, bless her. Chorizo and bean soup looking (and smelling) good.

Have a bit more putting away to do, and I've finally superglued the lever onto the remote control of DS truck. He's been asking me for months :o found a cork notice board too, so superglued the hooks in, as they just fell straight back out again. Will hang it in the garage later. Might become the homework board ;)

Anyone ready for a hhc? Off I go...

Good word, guddle! Not heard it before.

It's a Scottishism, guddling is catching fish with your bare hands but is used to describe a real mess which makes your brain ache. We have guddles aplenty here!

    Afternoon all,

Pooped out already and it's not even 2pm yet :(
Paid work for 2 hours this morning then Icel@nd, Ald! AND Sainsbobs trips. Dragged it all in from the car and put it away, took ages. I bought myself some new slipper boots and when I went to cut the tags off I noticed they're different sizes  so now I need to find time to go back.

Need to shower and wash my hair, return slippers, come home to collect DS1, pick up DS2 then drive to Wales to collect DD. Hopefully will be home by 7 so I can cook dinner and start flying in the public areas as my BFF, her husband and three children are visiting tomorrow :j Her boys are now 10 months old and my godson Ben is crawling (great achievement as they were born 12 weeks early) so the floor needs to be SUPER clean. Her daughter is DS1's best friend and they are both super excited to see each other too.

AF has arrived here too and is making here presence known good and proper. Cow :rotfl:
