Well ladies, it's been lovely but I'm going to have to bow out of the thread for at least 3 weeks. A colleague has sent a fit note in and I am deputising fior her, full time. See you at half term.

thing is. if I pop in I will feel rude not reading. I do love this thread as I feel such support, and when you are 'sole provider' sometimes having other adults to bounce ideas off is truly a lifesaver. I will attempt to pop in - if ANYONE 'sees' me pleas emake sure I know about anything significant.

On the plus side (ever the optimist) it means that the £££ to buy the choccywoccydoodah cake for DDs 18th and pay for the trip to the smoke to collect it may well be there! Oh and there's *cof* xmas to pay for...

nicki~~ what is causing all this mould? sounds like you are doing a cracking job tackling it.

Loads of factors have contributed to it, but I now have a fixed roof, capped off disused chimney (the chimney runs down the corner of the bathroom), central heating (no heating until we had gas heaters fitted in 2005-ish, then I had central heating fitted in 2008-ish ;) ) and a dehumidifier so hopefully I'll start winning the battles with it now :rotfl:

FRIDAY EXTRA - Don't forget your ME time this weekend, even if it's just a nice relaxing bath or catching up with an old friend, go on you deserve it

I'm going to give the livingroom and kitchen a quick once over tomorrow morning to clear up the weeks mess while DD carries on with homework. Ex is coming for her about midday so I've told her to get up as if she had school and she'd better be doing homework by 7am, 'cause I'm evil like that :pI said she can stop at 9am and get packed/washed/dressed and then carry on again until her dad arrives ;) Plan is she'll be kept so busy doing homework she won't get under my feet while I clear the ironing mountain. He's dealing with science homework, I'm assisting with the more artistic stuff. DD has an image in her head of a diagram she needs to do, but getting it onto the computer is another matter.

Going to potter a bit while I wait for the TD to finish, as I have plenty of bits I can still put away/dust in the livingroom while I watch some tv :D
