    Hello ladies!

I got to watching the dancing too! Hurrah. But I have two wee ones asleep in my bed so I'm defecting to the spare room tonight :p

We did have a tidy up before watching so all I need to do tomorrow is the ironing.

I could use some bulbs and winter bedding, too. Get the littlies out in the garden. Might go to the orange do it yourself place tomorrow...

Kitchen sink mended so we are back in action. :j

    Under sink cupboard refilled
    House S&s done
    Little dancers taught
    Nap decluttered

Aim for tomorrow is to touch up paintwork in bathroom ready for floor to go down Monday. I will try to post b4 & after photos.
Next large project will be to decorate the hall & Stairs

Does anyone have any advice for what to clean a new acrylic bath with? I have just been using a micro fibre cloth & water but it could do with a little extra something.

First of all, I love everyone on this thread and it is a great help in getting things done around the house xx

But, on some threads ( there are lots of helpful, encouraging people) there is sometimes the odd one or two that make me feel like I may as well not even try!!!!

Moan over, Swimming kit in bag ready for Thursday, PE kit in the wash.
    Bed remade. Chillout time........:)

Thank you, I am a bit scared of ruining it or the chrome stuff as has happened before as I don't want to go through a new bathroom fit in the next 10 years ( at least)

It does say suitable for acrylic but didn't check it's suitable for chrome.

I *think* I have an acrylic bath and use Sainsbugs basics cream cleaner. But then I want to replace the bathroom in the next 2 years and the previous owners managed to ruin the bathroom (sink is ceramic and chipped, taps were gold coloured at some point!!) so all I'm worried about is keeping it clean.

If you were to ask in Lake!and I'm sure they'd advise correctly - I find them very helpful.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
After two sleep days I managed to
    do a pile of ironing,
make a pot of chicken and leek soup,
    vac through upstairs,
    swish the bathroom and kitchen,
    washed out kitchen bins
    posted some cartridges for recycling

now just waiting for the cat to come in so I can wash the kitchen floor.
  • Apologies for my absence. Jaws are now more bearable and bruises on my arms are a lovely shade of yellow.

After my rant about DD3 and her abomination of her new room, I went in there with a stack of A4 printer paper, cellotape and a big fat marker pen.

I have labelled the inside of every drawer and door telling her what I expect to find inside each one. Once I am satisfied no mods are required, I will work out how to use the laminater and make them more permanent.

I have been taken an armful of stuff out of her old room everyday and spent 10 minutes filing it away.

I have started bagging up DD4 6-9 months stuff up as it has been making its way through the wash.

With her empty drawer I have started flip-flopping my t-shirts into it, which has given me more rail space in my wardrobe. I had a good tidy in there and de-cobwebbing yuck!, pulled out all the empty hangers ready to demolish more of Mt Foldmore soon.

Took the remaining young Skints to DS nursery today for some family photos, I hate having my photo taken but I did get in a few shots so there hopefully will be something respectable (they are being sold for a little over cost, with profits going back into the nursery.)

On Friday went to Towie Town, saw DoM, gave DoD grave a short, back and sides so it is tidier for winter, feed the ducks, had a spot of lunch (carvery offer large for price of standard ATM), then went to Canterbury and got a cheque off DD2 to pay me back for her rent which is melting my plastic.

So been a busy bee. I am hoping to get more of the belongings into the correct bedrooms next week. So will catch up with you on new thread tomorrow.
The cold never bothered me anyway

Yesterday evening I moved all our towels and bedlinen into my lovely new walk-in airing cupboard - amazing how much space there is in there without the old hot water tank! At present every shelf is packed full (with everything folded to Skinty's standards, I hope), although it will eventually become less crowded when we finish the decorating and finally set up the remaining bedrooms. Now I have empty drawers under our bed (which will have to be moved out for the carpenter and electrician to work on our bedroom, while we decamp downstairs) and have got rid of two giant cardboard boxes from the back bedroom.

Bought paint for the lounge and downstairs bedroom. Today's jobs include shifting boxes, making space for the fireplace fitters (phonecall received at 4,00 pm on Friday asking if they could come at 8.30 on Monday!) and giving the fireplace wall a coat - or preferably two - of emulsion.

    This is progress... :D
