The gibble nests are getting me down. I'm going to spend as much time as I can stomach the job re-homing 'stuff.'Better is good enough.0

mumto5 - glad the wedding went well, sorry to hear of your loss. Hope you feel better soon.
bossy - strictly tickets - i'm very envious!
Still trying to re-order house so items from mums can fit in. Best description is greater than normal chaos.
DD1 recovering from tummy bug.
I'm off to mums tomorrow afternoon so may not be around much this week. I'm supposed to be back on Tuesday, but mum is having bone test on Wed and my sister would normally go with her, but she is bedbound with some sort of virus that makes her dizzy. I would ask what else could go wrong, but I don't think I really want to know...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Sorry for your loss Mumto5 xx
I have got uniforms ready, including PE kit and swimming gear. Done a load of ironing and put the hoover round. Dinner cooked scoffed, eaten and dishes swashed and draining. DD gone to DSD's for dinner so was just me Mum and step-Dad.
Dog knocked his water over again and it went under the door and into the big cupboard full of carp, pulled a load of the stuff out, got a bag of stuff to fling and dried the floor. I was going to give it a good clear out but after finding the dog stuck in the cupboard(because of his collar) I thought it best left until I can leave him outside!!!
Chilling for a bit now xx0 -
Hugs- to all going through difficult times.
Well, it has not been as successful a weekend as I anticipated. I don't really know why:( did lots yesterday but hasn't really made much of a difference, never mind onwards and upwards as they say;) tomorrow is the start of a brand new week:j
Have watched DS play football, lost 4-1, but he was named man of the match so he's not too disappointed:j
Washing on the line, dinner in SC, dog walked and just a titchy pile of ironing to do and that's me done for today.
See you soon x0 -
Afternoon, having a well earned cuppa and biscuit.
WMx2 done and on the line
Tom soup made
More toms picked to hopefully finish ripening
Bit of a garage sort out with DS3, 1 sack of rubbish binned
Planted 2 plants
DH has
Put up a picture
Put up a mirror
Chopped up 2 large pallets for fire wood
Plan to do another HH in the garden in a minute and see if DS1 can be co-opted to help empty the leaf mould ready for refilling with autumn leaves. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mumto5 sorry for your loss.
Lots done here; all the weekend tasks complete except for the ironing, which Mr LW is doing as I type.:A
Farmers market visited (by Mr LW - £74.90 spent there); @sda shop done; and the chap we have to cut the very tall ancient "hedge" at the back (it's a hedge of actual trees, blackthorn, hawthorn, elder and goodness knows what else) has called to see if we want it done, and we've arranged for him and his mate to do that AND paint the fence round the back garden. That's a task I'd been scratching my head wondering how to achieve; I can't do it myself anymore, and Mr LW simply can't fit in any more tasks than he already does - ok it'll cost us, but it'll be money well spent.:o They're due to come on Wednesday week (16th) to do the work; Mr LW will leave the back gate open for them so they won't need to bother me til they've finished and want their cheque.:o
We're having our main meal tonight; I've made a quiche, with the best will in the world I couldn't have it ready for midday, so Mr LW had a cheese buttie to keep him going.:o I didn't bother eating, but sshhhh - I don't think he's realised.;)
Only fly in the ointment today is my eyes have gone peculiar; I sometimes get this weird double vision thing, where I have to close one eye in order to continue working, and that's the situation I'm in now.:( It'll clear itself eventually (at least it always has up to now) but it's not pleasant, as it makes me feel quite dizzy.
Ah well, there's loads of folks with worse than that to deal with.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW, I think you need to get yourself something to eat.......a piece of toast and a cup of sweet tea, to keep you going xx0
-
LW - I hope you've had a recent eye test? If you've never mentioned this to your optician be sure to tell them as they can check your peripheral vision and other things.
Also, it may be worth visiting your Doctor as that definitely doesn't sound like a standard problem I've had with vision xx
I've actually finished a whole week this week! Didn't manage to keep up with all the chat, but read some, so hugs to people in need and congratulations on your wedding Mum xxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Cat fed many times0 -
LW, I get double vision sometimes because of migraines; occasionally without any head pain accompanying. Please pop to your GP just to make sure all is well -- it'll save us all worrying if nowt else
DH in a filthy mood, refusing to let on as to what his beef is, I thought it was only women who said, "nothing" when they're asked what's wrong because they have a face like thunder? Apparently not so.
I have cooked a big roast dinner, lost my temper with all 5 children over their strops when asked to wash up/help tidy/take their eyes off the TV for thirty seconds, washed up and put away this morning's dry ironing.
Booger it, I'm having a cider.0
