Well officially not a lot on the list I can do today! Bedroom was deep cleaned including under the bed and windows a week or so ago when carpet was re laid. Have also packed up the majority of my clothes and shoes.

Plans for tonight include a visit to kurrys to discuss appliances (JL removed them from sale in between me making a decision and contacting them to price match  there goes the 2 year guarantee!), making an AS delivery and trying to fly a little.
Am thinking about going along to a meeting of the local village association in the village we are moving to. It's being held tonight but am torn between continuing the packing/cleaning or going along. There are monthly meetings I can join at any point but not sure if it's better to go to the AGM for a taster of what goes on or a normal meeting!?! Will see what happens this evening.

Have tried to have a catch up on the thread but struggling so apologies if I've missed anything big. Please distribute hugs and woohoo's where needed.

    Hi all.

Doing a spot of catch-up with the Fred, as I logged off fairly early yesterday. Is it me, or is the Fred moving really quickly this week?:o

Lozzy I am so pleased your DD is settling in and making friends, and doing so well, after your concerns. I never did learn how to socialise with other children as a child, and that inability has carried on into my adult life, so to hear of a littl'un not having the same fate means a great deal to me, iyswim.:o

Kazw getting rid of a wasp nest excuses you from anything else for the rest of the day, imho. Nasty, nasty things.

Narco – time to change to a new cc maybe? If they can't work out that 0% of 0 is 0, I wouldn't stay with them personally.

Re spiders – I don't mind them at all; I do evict them if I have dogs staying, for their own safety, but I do wish they wouldn't build webs without planning permission!:D

CY (((HUGS))) for you and posi-vibes for your Mum. How's DH's arm, btw?

Piggers Happy tum vibes, mate. And for anyone else with a gippy tum today.

Natty even the most well-meaning of DHs get underfoot when they're at home at a time they wouldn't normally be. I often leave things out if I know I'm going to use them later, to save a few spoons, and the usual thing is I go to get the item, whatever it is, and find he's “helpfully” put it away. *rolls eyes* Bless him, he means well.:D Silly beggar forgot his work phone this morning, but luckily he realised before he got to the end of the road, and came back for it. And yes, I agree, just carry on with what you were going to do anyway, and make your DH move when you need to get to where he's perched.;)

I'm part way through getting the Hairy Hooligans' rucksack packed up, as they're being collected shortly. Better go and finish doing that, I guess, and just leave their water bowl to pick up at the last moment. Despite the rain, they still wanted to play with their tennis balls outside this morning; but luckily their towels have dried out pretty well.:o I'll get the Dys0n out once they've gone, and give the whole place a good going over. I don't have any more bookings at present, so I hope to goodness the BD doesn't come in to fill the vacancy.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Kitchen list-done

Washing done and dry washing put away.
    Shopping done
    Cat stuff done.
    Dailies done.

Does anyone with cats use anything other than newspaper to line the litter tray? This crazy cat likes to rip paper up he bites chunks out of it.

    CY Hugs.

Deep Clean Challenge. Did this last week when DD was here to move the bed.
  • Well, I've run round for 45 minutes but it doesn't look like I've done anything  Another WM load on, yesterday's ironing put away. Clean nets are up in the lounge and blind cleaned in the kitchen. Work surfaces sprayed, will wipe down in 10 minutes or so.

Big hugs to everyone with a dodgy tummy (but please keep your germies to yourself!)

Going to have some lunch and then continue... friends are coming round at 7 which in theory gives me plenty of time - however productivity will be about 10% after DH gets home and I need some time to beautify myself.

In ouchy news, I trod on the upturned plug from the vacuum cleaner (in just my socks) and now my foot is bleeding and sore... woe is me!

  • Another HHC at 2? Really struggling with motivation as it STILL doesn't look as though I've done anything. I know the answer isn't to give up though :rotfl:
