    Morning Everyone,
My happy news of the day, small that it may be, is that I got my swimsuit back from the swimming baths:j:j And also last night I tried on the ones that didn't used to fit and they now fit:j:j so the swimming must be working!

Interesting reading the comments about choosing a secondary school. I'm a secondary supply teacher and hadn't thought about what would be important. Most schools have a marketing director now I'm sad to say, so don't be fooled by flashy facilities and how many clubs are put on- when I was permanent we didn't have a choice about whether we wanted to do a club, we were pressured into doing one, so not always a sign of staff commitment. I would go with how a place feels and what the results are like if I'm honest. That's what I will be doing in a few years time for my DS. Their primary is going to become an academy which I don't agree with.

It's awful and grey here. So far I have made a couple of beds and have put DW on. The house is pretty good, mostly clutter free especially my bedroom as I'm nagging the kids about their rooms and feel I should lead by example!

CY sorry to hear your news and try not to feel bad about how your Mum rang a friend first, it may have been easier to tell the friend as she loves you more.

It's persisting it down here, I feel for the Germans. They and SW3 are in York today.

(((CY))) - sorry to hear your news.

People sometimes find it easier to tall someone else in a 'practice run' - they've then had to deal with the reality of saying it in the cold light of day before telling a close relative x

Morning all, was up early today, had to be up and on the Hoe for 6:30 for my first bootcamp workout.
A nice day off cleaning for me today. The bedroom is already clean :)
I just need to pick in the washing that should hopefully be dry by now and put it away, do the dishes and my sax practice.
Then I'm in work at 2pm today.

This is, without doubt, the most amazing spider year I've ever known. They are everywhere, shedloads of them, huge, and OH thinks they ALL have teeth. And carry machetes. Off to Mount Edgcumbe once the conker season starts and we will have little piles of the glorious shiny orbs scattered willy-nilly in the Honey Bear House to deter them.

I'm never sure which pest I'd rather have. The spiders eat the plague of flys we seem to get each summer (some big fat ones still lingering), and the mice eat the spiders.
I'd leave conkers around but I'm afraid it would encourage the mice!
