Are you serious? Do you really seriously believe that there are customers who hear that they won't serve children's meals to ten year olds and think, "Yes, that's the place for me"?
Yes, I think straight away, good less pushy parents with their brat princesses and little emperors. Maybe it will be alright there. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

LOL, when I saw that I thought: if they wouldn't server any teenagers, it might make it more attractive for some. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

So you equate a child wanting to eat less than an adult with being a "brat princess" or "little emperor"? That seems a little excessive.0 -

No I associate parents who always want the goalposts moved for their little darling with bringing up brat princesses and little emperors. She didn't have to eat as much as an adult, her mum just had to pay as much, she left some. I can't see where I advocated force feeding the special little snowflake :huh:The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Then you have it completely back to front. You said you would chose a place that refused to serve ten year olds with children's meals and you are now saying that is because you object to parents who want the goalposts moved. Yet if they do serve the meals to ten year olds the goalposts won't need moving. So by picking a restaurant that didn't you would be picking one which had a rule that would give rise to exactly the behaviour you are trying to avoid!0 -

You said you would chose a place that refused to serve ten year olds with children's meals Well I would only find out if I overheard said pushy parent whining about itand you are now saying that is because you object to parents who want the goalposts moved No I posted that i didn't say anything - do you speak out loud as you type?. Yet if they do serve the meals to ten year olds the goalposts won't need moving. My parents lied about my age for a couple of years. For example - theme parks. I was 13 and the child ticket was for 4-12 years old. My parents must have saved several hundred quid doing this - they did this in all the theme parks in Florida as well.
In terms of food, as a kid I found the children's portions too small and there were some chains that did light options and ate those instead. Plus my palate wants something more exciting that sausages beans and chips.
I order Happy Meals and McDonalds don't have an age limit.0 -

Exactly!
So you posted that you would chose a place that refused to serve ten y/os when the only way you would know that was their policy is if you heard the very thing that you say(post) that you want to avoid.
You are one seriously confused puppy.and you are now saying that is because you object to parents who want the goalposts movedNo I posted that i didn't say anything
Good heavens, are you ten yourself? You must be struggling if that's the best you can do.Yet if they do serve the meals to ten year olds the goalposts won't need moving. It makes perfect sense. You have demonstrated above that you have managed to completely confuse yourself so you're obviously finding this a bit too complicated for you.0 -
Most 10 years old i know would eat a full adults meal.
I went into a restaurant the other day and they have a Child's Menu, Adult's Menu and a Senior Citizens Menu0
