Can anyone explain how the thanks button is used to mark enteries. I seem to have been able to do it once but can't seem to do it again.

Sorry for being daft - new to this forum.

The Thanks button tells you that you have entered / been to the post before in case you come across it again because it has moved up the ladder / decided not to enter.

    HTH someone.

I'd be really grateful if peops have other ones to add to / comment on these three lists, as I am keeping them for my own use. I have added to them from previous compers' suggestions, and will re-post them if I get more info.

    Thanks in advance.

Is there a free Form Filler apart from Roboform, this worked well until I reached the quota and now it keeps asking me to to upgrade which is not free. Had to reformat computer and lost all my Robo bits and as I'm starting again was hoping someone could tell me if there is something better. Thanks and good luck all.

No, stay with this, but do what kipper told me to do:

Take your passcards down to ten or below, and it'll stop asking you to buy it - this was the condition for going beyond the trial period you signed up to when you downloaded it.

You might want to store the passcard details elsewhere, though, so that you can access them / copy and paste them into forms.

Don't get rid of roboform - it is too useful!!

Just reading through this - what is snarfer - have d/l roboform but have never heard of snarfer?

It's mentioned above in one of the posts, so have a look. I d/led it but only used it once or twice - it was good, but not for my way of working.

Thanks for advice Rricky. Not too good on computers, sorry to be a pain but where do you store them so that they are easy to get to.

Well, I'm not fantastic on pcs either, but I keep a word processing document open with my address, etc, in it, so that I can copy and paste them into emails and on the occasions when roboform and autofill don't fill everything in in a form.

HTH - keep asking questions, as I've been helped loads by other compers. That's what this thread is for.:D

When entering email comps, go to the comp, enter answer on the email, then minimise it until you have a load to send. Then it is a matter of copy and pasting your details from a draft email, and pressing send. Stream lines entering emails comps no end.

Or you could set up your details as a signature so any email you open it will automatically fill in your info & you just add/delete bits as needed for the particular comp :)

Been doing this for ages now & it saves so much time!
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
