The problem is my "thanks" button doesn't work in the library. I typed "thanks" 3 times and feel awful as I know it is so annoying. Had anybody had the same or knows what to change in the settings (if it settings!). "Edit" button works perfectly well.
My thanks button plays up a lot too. I just keep clicking it and eventually it works!
Don't know the reason for it though

Hi everyone.
The last few days I have been feverishly entering competitions online, as I'm working in a temp job and have 9 hours a day on the net!
I've won tickets to the Good Food ShowVery pleased about that, it will be a nice day out.
I have a tip. I used to work on a local paper, and sometimes picked out the winner. I liked to pick a big, or brightly coloured envelope, or one with drawings on it (for a childrens' one anyway). At least they have made the effort.
Also, there was no point people entering who weren't in our circulation area as we only allowed people in our area to win.0 -
hello, first post here, i d/l robo form and got that working a charm, thanks for that. i also tried snarfer and sort of got it working, the trouble is that it doesnt seem to update all of the comp entries. going through this site directly i can see what ive visisted with the different colour and size font, and the subscription email works fine too, but snarfer only seems to give like 14 or so semi recent posts, any ideas what im doing wrong? thanks for any helpwin £2008 in 2008 member's club no 16. £200 down. at a guess. groovey

Just remembered something that I have observed with Roboform, and have been meaning to post for a few weeks: sometimes it tells you that it can't find anything to fill.
On some sites this seems to be because their form starts with the personal designation (Mr/s, etc) box already ticked.
However, I've recently found that when I click on the next available field, then ask Roboform to do its job, it works.
I still like having my trusty little word processing doc available as a standby to drag and drop, or (at the worst) to copy and paste stuff into any gaps left by Roboform (or when the site's form - bizarrely, to my mind! - won't accept drag and drop).
Hope this helps someone else, as I have had LOADS of tips from this thread that have speeded up my comping, you :A:A:As!!Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

What's the most common way that winners are contacted? Post/Email/Phone? Need to know since I'll be out of the country for a month!Competitions Entered: 2,015+

I've found the most common way is to not contact you at all! Most prizes just turn up with the postman unexpected. Otherwise, its probably email. For the big wins its usually phone/letter.

Ahh thanks!
In that case, I'm either going to be pleasantly surprised or horribly disappointed!

I've a question, I've noticed people mention thanking people to keep track of what comps they have entered, how does this work? does a symbol come up beside the thread?Win £2008 in 2008 no #49 £601.91/£2008

Hi Karensteps, unfortunately it doesn't show beside the thread as a symbol - but when you open a thread then you can see straightaway.
I will thank the first post either if I enter the competition or if I decide after reading it that it isn't one I want to enter. That way, when I open the thread up again later I can see immediately oh I've looked at this one & then just read the posts to see if there is someone who needs help or has a question etc that I might be able to help them with
Hope that helps? If I've just made the confusion worse or you have any more questions then just post away
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0
