  • So, I've been trying to help out by searching for competitions.... I post a couple a day, but am trying to find ways to expand my search abilities so I can find more!

What I'm doing so far is using google to search pages in the past 24 hours in the UK which have the keywords "competition" or "win" in them... but that only gets me a couple of results... still, it's better than nothing!

But what about these other sites... Loquax, Prizefinder- things like that- what's up with them?

hello, first post here, i d/l robo form and got that working a charm, thanks for that. i also tried snarfer and sort of got it working, the trouble is that it doesnt seem to update all of the comp entries. going through this site directly i can see what ive visisted with the different colour and size font, and the subscription email works fine too, but snarfer only seems to give like 14 or so semi recent posts, any ideas what im doing wrong? thanks for any help

I'm having problems with snarfer too. I've d/l it and set it up but I seem to be getting all new MSE posts not just comp ones:eek: Anyone have any tips/suggestions on what I've done wrong?
Never regret anything....'cos at one time it was exactly what you wanted...

i really want to give comping a go. i dont mind getting spam email (i have a spare email account that i'd use) but don't want spam phonecalls or loads of junk mail sent to my house. I'm also a bit nervous about giving out my details. Have you had any bad experiences doing this?

I have been comping for nearly four months now and I always tick no to receiving more information and haven't been bothered at all by postal spam, and only had a couple of phone calls telling me I have 'won' a holiday but need to go sit through a four hour presentation and pay a charge to claim it lol. I can sense them now and just ask them as they congratulate me if I need to pay anything and then thank them and say no. I think that happened about 3/4 times - so my personal experience is there isn't much to worry about. I enter around 100 a day.

A couple of tips for postal competitions:

    - places like the cinema and some pubs have a stand with free post cards (mainly advertising new films and things), so no need to buy post cards

    - For stamps, super drug are currently offering 5% off stamps at the moment.

Is there a free Form Filler apart from Roboform, this worked well until I reached the quota and now it keeps asking me to to upgrade which is not free. Had to reformat computer and lost all my Robo bits and as I'm starting again was hoping someone could tell me if there is something better. Thanks and good luck all.
