    I have the share certificate.

    I'm going to send my certificate with the completely "sell form" tomorrow. Do i need to send a fee or will this just be taken out of my monies?

    Better value in other postal /parcel delivery services. ;)
  • Got the x-o crest form almost filled in,

    What do you put in the "Description of Security" section?

    On the x-o help it says: Security Description (i.e. ORD GBP1 or ORD USD0.10);

    So, as they are ordinary 1p each, do you put ORD GBP0.01 or what?
  • Hi everyone.

    Thanks for some good input. I've trawled through so many pages and I think I can grasp what to do next.

    I also made the mistake of selecting a share certificate. Was horrified when I saw the £45 fee! My only reservation with transferring to another company is once the transfer is in process and I have no share certificate for that 5-7 working days or so am I correct in thinking I can't sell them if things went belly up?

    Basically I'm just thinking is it worth saving that £39 difference when the price of the shares could drop by that much and I have no control to sell? At least i can sell instantly now if I wanted if I saw things going down.

    danfearn77 - the £39.05 extra fee (the difference between selling with a certificate for £45 or through x-o for £5.95) equates to over 17p per share on a standard holding of 227 shares i.e. if the share price fell 17p - 227 x 17p = £38.59. I think that makes sense, and hope helps you make a decision.
