A quick check in for me, because I've not managed to the last day or two.
Hectic at work at the moment and I'm exhausted when not there.
Spend free days since Sunday, and AFD's too. I'm actually pushing that another two days, and not having my first AD until Saturday when a friend is coming for the weekend.
Going to try and look at my November budget tomorrow, but if not, it will be Friday morning when the pay is in.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this challenge and looking forward to the more hardcore NOvember.Feb NST #4

Just checking in. Had a spend day today of £10.35 from my misc November budget. But didn't eat out so one more to that total
Sent off some gold to be sold and an old mobile to be traded. Think the monies should come through next week and therefore count towards my £80 November money making totalI've also signed up to a money making thread too and I'm aiming to make £150 in November (fingers crossed). I've worked out that if I can pay £500 off my debt each month, I'll be debt free by the end of Jan 2016 instead of May 2018
LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Evening all. Was hoping for a SFD today - but one of the girls in work was selling stuff for the Poppy Appeal so I bought a poppy lanyard for my ID card and an enamel poppy pin, so I spent £6 on that.
Went out for tea with my Dad and he paid for me. I had packed lunch in work, and I walked to and from work today (total of 4 miles).
Not sure if tomorrow will be a SFD as have a £2 voucher to use in H&B which expires tomorrow - and I didn't have enough money on me to put with the voucher to buy the giant tub of peanut butter I wanted (no cards in my purse and only a minimum of cash). If I buy it I will lose a SFD, but have enough peanut butter for months, but if I don't I will lose out on my voucher. Hmm. Decisions, decisions . . .
Anyway, off to bed now. Will check in again tomorrow. Night all.0 -
Hi All,
I've not checked in since last week....apologies. Work has been long, I've been completing application forms for a new course and I caught up with Uni friends at the weekend.
Scores on the doors are in.... I'm up to 22 SFDs so exceeded the target here!! on consulting my spreadsheet, I'm only £4.01 over budget for the month, so I'm really pleased.
I've got a last minute overtime shift booked for Saturday, and again the following week, so hopefully I'll get these in Novembers pay.
I've spent tonight sorting my budgets for November, and seeing as I've already been paid, I've done my money shuffle and have overpaid an extra £186 to my savings, as well as the interest from my current account (£6.56).
I'm really pleased with how this month has gone, I was really worried at the start but I've stuck to most of my rules.
Come on November, lets have you!!!!!October Awakening: Food £20/20 Petrol £50/50 Misc £190/194.01 Extra Earnings £100/196.56 SFDs 20/220 -
So ... in my excitement this morning at paying off that lump sum I have overpaid what I wanted to overpay. I whacked the whole lot off in one hit from my banking app. Clearly looked at what had already been taken and duly ignored it. I overpaid by £260 and now have only one payment to go for £540 and I will be debt free.
I have compensated elsewhere so it's all good as I can make a double payment in December to where the money should have gone this month - it's not debt but it is an essential and a little private so I shan't divulge..
So there you go.. silly me...... but I am a little happy...:T
If it's any consolation to any of you I am dreading NOvember as well!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Final check in for me! Didn't end up getting my SFD yesterday. I had around £12 left over and decided to treat myself to some chocolate and wine after a horrific day at work, since I was way under my grocery budget. So my totals are:
Lunch to work - 100%
Food bank donation - £3
Groceries - £139.97/£180
SFDs - 14/20
Beauty totals - £0
Nights out - £23/£30
Additional credit card payments - £200 within this month but £280 within this paycheque (put one in at end of Sept)
Overall, I'm pretty freaking happy with this month, especially as I had a fair few unexpected payments that I couldn't avoid. Next month's task is to get rid of the smaller credit card debt. Thank you all for the motivation! I'll be watching NOvember with interest and cheering you on. NSK - Quick question, online purchases...do they count on the day of buying or they day the money comes out of the account? or does it not really matter?Feb NST #4

Morning all! It's pay day :j :T I will be making payment to my cards soon today. It's so nice not getting to the real payment date and having to make site I remember -although I always do. Since I pay them as soon as I get paid now, since starting this challenge, It's a wonderful feeling knowing it's done.
I did forget one guilty spend on tuesday KatBasically, I was reading the Debt free roll of honour and one person recommended getting the book The Money Secret. It arrived yesterday-and I'm hooked
My monthly shop for the 5 of us usually hovers between 260-280 per month. This month I have accounted for the stuff I end up nipping down the road for and includes my lunch for work So had come in around 290 ish. So I have no excuse for popping to the shops for a twix and coming out with bags full
Tomorrow is the start of the big one and I cannot wait :T
Well done to Kat and Loveadove-truly inspirational :T My debt free date , if all goes well should be December 2015 and I cannot wait:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
