I have a Sony Ericsson W880i that needs to be unlocked. It's currently locked to O2. How much should it cost to get it unlocked? I know in some shops, it costs about £10-£15 but I've heard that it's cheaper to do it online?

if you want a permanent unlock, it should cost anywhere from £15-£30 to unlock it. if you have it patch (where you lose the unlock when you upgrade the software on the phone) unlocked it would be about £10

To get your Sagem handset unlocked you'll need to have an active contract or Pay As You Talk account with Vodafone and you'll need to make a note of the IMEI of your handset (type *#06# on the keypad to find this.)

If the handset is more than 12 months old we can provide the unlocking code free of charge. If it's less than 12 months old a charge of just £19.99 including VAT will apply.

To make arrangements to unlock your handset, please call Vodafone on 191 free of charge from a Vodafone handset or on 08700 700 191 from any other phone (charges apply.) Alternatively you can contact us via email here.

Hello,

Can anyone help me with an unlock code for a motorola v980/702mo that is locked
to Vodafone while I was in Japan about two years ago?

I know I need to insert another network SIM to test it, I am back in the US now
and I took out the sim from my cingular phone to test if it works into my motorola
v980/702mo. It's asking me to "enter subsidy password".

The IMEI is 354909004653519

Would be extremely grateful...
