Amazon delaying Supersaver Delivery packages

Yeh I understand that being an ex employee, but some people are hinting at there being some inner policy where they purposely delay the free deliveries which is just not true. Of course it will be further down the picking order but it's not purposely done, it's just the way the business works. They have dispatch and delivery estimates which they strive to stick to. Like I said, I've not really got company loyalty to them (they made me redundant!) but I've always found their service top notch, and if anything goes wrong with something sold or fulfilled by Amazon you're pretty much guaranteed your money back or a replacement product as long as it's within warranty. There is a leave longer clause for super saver deliveries. Picking lists are generated according to the promise date of an order. A super saver delivery has a later delivery promise date so will be behind prime and 1st class on any picking list generated.
Depending on orders and how quickly the warehouse is working decides when the item is picked and despatched.
If it's been a couple of days and the item still hasn't been picked then it will move higher up the list to ensure it's picked, despatched and delivered for the date promised.0 -
My mistake then, up until now everything sent RM24 has arrived next day and RM48 the second working day, so I assumed wrongly.George_Michael wrote: »They might not be guaranteed 24/48 hour delivery times, but RM do advertise these services by stating that they aim to deliver the next working day for RM24 and the majority of items within 2 working days for RM48.
riiiiight,and as you see
they have been in the majority of the time0 -
I ordered seven items on SS since posting here a few days ago and all but one arrived within two working days, with the one taking four days. Not bad for £zero postage.0

My parents recently ordered me a present using super saver, I think it was 5 days till dispatch, 8 till delivery? On the other hand I ordered something that arrived much quicker, so it's hit and miss.0
