Amazon delaying Supersaver Delivery packages

i placed an order on the 25th and it came yesterday [27th] .

I noticed this. We ordered a flash drive and wanted it quickly as our xbox doesn't have a big enough hard drive to install GTA V, so OH was desperate for it to arrive, on super save delivery, stated 2-3 days, yet took 6 days!

I am not going to sign up to the free trial of prime as though we do order a lot, I know I'll forget to cancel it after the month and we always look for items with free delivery anyway.

You can cancel the auto subscribe as soon as you sign up

You can also cancel after the cancellation period as long as you've not used it.

For future orders, you may find that you get your purchase a little quicker if you opt for delivery to an Amazon locker.

(My personal experience from a grand total of two locker deliveries)

supersaver delivery is 3-5 business days depending on when you order this may be longer due to the weekend.

I order items several times a week from Amazon, all SS delivery, and whilst I've noticed a slight increase in delivery times it's not across the board and it's very rarely more than 5 days (only once per 50 deliveries or thereabouts). In fact, my last order I made on Thu 7pm and I had it Fri 10am. Not long back I got over 100kg of gym equipment and weights delivered within 3 days - for free, can't beat that.

I signed up for Prime and first thing I ordered for next day delivery took nearly a week to arrive. Amazon can be good or poor on all types of delivery service.

Have to say I have not noticed any difference.

Ordered three books over the last two weeks and my daughter ordered some stuff as well.

Everything came in the expected time.

The only problem I've had with Amazon was on my last order when they emailed to say it would be delivered that day, but I was out when it came. Usually all delivery drivers leave the stuff at the back of the house but this time they took it back with them. They left a card saying they would attempt redelivery the next day so I stuck a note on the door asking them to leave it round the back or if it would fit, to push it through one of the conservatory windows. They got it through the window, but I don't know how, it was quite big. But no damage to the window so all ok. The one thing with Amazon is the amount of packaging they use. It's always in a big box, even when it's just one item.

I've never had a problem with Yodel. They deliver a lot of my stuff and they always leave it somewhere safe, like in the shed.
