I find that supersaver stuff usually comes the next day or the day after (except very close to Christmas). Occasionally with orders that are not books or DVDs they seem to wait 4 or 5 days to dispatch.

I've just put an order in this morning, it says 3-5 business days which should be Weds to Friday. But on checkout it came back saying it would be Friday to Monday. Hope their pessimism is unfounded!

Had a delivery at 9am of my last SS order which I placed Friday 10pm, so I suppose that's zero working days...
  • Thanks for the comments, it seems that they were slower than average on this one, but I suppose I can't complain as delivery was within the estimated timescale, which ended today.

The parcel was delivered today, by My Hermes. Interestingly, they had combined two separate orders into one parcel, which is fine.

I would have got the items sooner, as they tried to deliver on Saturday and the parcel was being delivered to my work address, which is closed at the weekend.

So the real question is: are people moaning about the whole dispatching process or just the 'Dispatched ---> Delivered' part?

Prime membership will speed the whole lot up. Free Super Saver delivery might be fast but if you're waiting for a good few days for it to be picked then it can get annoying.

I usually count the whole thing as one from ordering to it being delivered.

I've given up ordering stuff from Amazon themselves - there are plenty of other companies who offer next day delivery at no extra charge and Amazon's prices aren't that great these days.

I still use Amazon's marketplace though as most of the traders on there offer much better delivery times than Amazon themselves.

yep i noticed this a few years back and stopped using them and moved to ebay instead. only went back when i was using the prime trial or when i was buying from amazon sellers. havent bought anything direct from them in maybe a couple of years using SSD.

    dont care for them anymore.
