that's fab, I love saving money, and you could save more, research online for your hair dye, you could find that you can save more as some places sell them cheaper or buy in bulk! well done you x0

Funny, but I find the opposite in my local Aldi. The staff are all really friendly and so are the customers. It seems to be the done thing in our local one that if you've got a trolley-full, and the person behind you has a couple of bits you let them go in front.
Happens lots in Aldi. NEVER happens in the other supermarkets.
really? I'm surprised - happily, I've seen it loads of times in other supermarkets.
If I have a full shop, I always let people with just a few items go ahead of me, regardless of what store it is. And, people have done the same for me when I've only had a couple of items.0 -
Have you seen anybody do a big shop that fills a standard trolley?
Is it possible in an hour with their parking restrictions?
We are a family of 8 so I often do a very big shop, rarely in there longer than half an hour, it is much less of an assault on the senses than the average supermarket because there are just a few varieties of things rather than hundreds and you spend less time comparing prices and deals too.0 -
Bit of an old thread but I've brought it back to life to say thanks to the OP!
I've just come back from from my 2nd full shop in Aldi (yes, its taken me this long to summons the courage to go there!!) and I've saved a small fortune. A trolley full for £40 instead of the usual £70 odd at mr s. i'm really impressed with the quality of the food and the snobby OH can't tell the difference!!
Last week I wasnt so good with the quick checkout process, but was fine today and more organised with my bags open and ready.
It's 2 miles further than the Mr S store, but well worth the extra journey time.
Thanks OP and everyone who contributed:beer:£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
