Just out of curiosity, does anyone else have problems using more than one of the individual 30/50% off vouchers at a time?

The Aldi staff locally have been instructed by the manager that "Vouchers valid for one product only" means that you can only use one voucher per shopping transaction, meaning that each voucher has to be put through as a separate transaction.

This is ludicrous, and just holds up the queue. The words mean, of course, that one voucher is needed per product, and that you can't buy more than one item per voucher. The manager here interprets it as meaning that you can't use more than one voucher per load of shopping. No amount of persuasion will budge them - despite the time their approach wastes all round.

As recent converts to Aldi, we're off to do our big fortnightly shop tomorrow - it's even worth the 30 mile round trip because our nearest supermarket of any size is a Co-op (enough said).

I just love the variety, quality and price.

The only thing I've disliked was their frozen ready meal hot-pot .....BLEURGH! Serves me right for buying microwave stuff. :D

And in what other supermarket would you be able to see a full diver's wetsuit for sale; next to the pickled mushrooms? :)

Anyone else finding that their milk goes off well before its 'use by' date? Finding this time after time.

Nope, we've been using it for years, and have never had any that seems even slightly off. Perhaps it's store dependent?

Could be - it happens frequently and we just have to throw it out. Taken it up with Aldi, they make all the right noises, but it continues to happen. Never a problem with milk bought anywhere else.

There must be a breakdown somewhere in the refrigeration chain between supplier and shop floor.

I've never had a problem with this although I do give them my vouchers before they start putting the shopping through as they can't just scan them all through at the end like you would with other vouchers they have to scan the product then the relevant voucher straight after it

Does it happen with a 4 pint bottle bought elsewhere?

No - just an Aldi problem. Always kept properly refrigerated from purchase to use. :)
