If it's as easy as you are describing it, then why didn't you do it yourself, after all, you seem to know a lot about what they do and what needs to be done!1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Because you are wrong.
It's very obvious to everyone that you have a very non standard installation.0 -
OP I'm a bit confused, what did the installer suggest to do with the cabling?
Sky will cable over the roof with their standard installation, they don't climb they simply throw it over. Had mine installed recently.
They will not go through the loft.0 -

In my area there are hundreds of houses with cables over the roof and they have been done by many different installers over a very long period.
But that doesn't mean it's what Tesco consider a standard installation.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Never said it did.
But a standard installation must include dish and cabling. If that can't be done then the installer shouldn't start.
Which is what the OP started off about.
The installer wouldn't install as it was not a standard installation by there definition. The OP thought it was.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

I'm with the OP on this one, it certainly would be fairly easy to throw the cable over the roof while at the dish.
Probably easier to subscribe to Sky for a year, then go to freesat if required0
