Fully behind you on the job front. My new job was previously done by someone on 37 hours a week but it was advertised on 30 hours a week. They were supposed to be taking something out of the role but haven’t. Every time I mention this it’s brushed off hence the reason I’m looking for something else only 4 months after starting. My Hetty’s teeth removal cost an eye watering amount but she’s part of the family and is now happy again. If she’s happy then I’m happy :)

    Thanks Hetty and tryharder...

Ive been off this week with stress, cant sleep, but tired all the time, stomach pains, cant stop thinking about how im going to manage tasks etc, its awful, im usually resillient, but its really bad at work with morale/lack of staff and i think ive reached my limit :(

Im going back tommorow, and ive requested a meeting but im not holding out much hope, theres another woman just gone back after 6 weeks on sick with stress, and she is already upset as they are offloading work onto her, so theres no hope for me...

Im just biding my time and saving, ive got a plan that sadly means another 12 months saving, im just trying to get the mindset that ive only got one pair of hands, and can only do my best, but its hard cos im not the sort of person that likes leaving tasks, oh well lets see what happens.

on a happy note, we have aquired 3 new 12 week old lambs, all girls, herdwick/blue texel crosses. They are soooo cute!
And Theresa the chicken is doing great, shes finished her antibiotics and looking good :T

Had a ride out to clear my head, was lovely, i just need to try and put things in perspective, we have a good life here, and a great husband, its just work that is pants, so i need to focus on changing this in the next 12 months..

    well what a week!

We have had a week off, the task for this holiday was to cut up some massive pieces of stone into usuable building work sizes.
Its been hard work in this hot weather, lots of breaks required..

We have more to do before the hired machine goes back monday, but we have worn out the blade, so hubby is off to buy a new one this morning.

£250 overpayment made yesterday, will update signature..

Hi, just caught up on your diary, such an inspirational read, you have inspired me to start overpayments on my mortgage and I’m going to look into setting this up on my account straight away, little payments here and there will soon add up, and I’m also going to look into premium bonds as well, so thank you ☺️. Sorry to hear that work is stressful atm, you sound like you have a plan and hopefully it will pass soon. I have subscribed and will be cheering you on!

Thanks thick and thin, and tryharder for dropping in :)

My diary has been neglected, we have been making the most of the lovely weather and enjoying the outdoors :j

Work still poo, but im muddling through at the moment, staff still very thin on the ground..

We have another lamb to add to the collection. We found out one of our new girls was a twin, so we went and bought her too, it didnt seem right to seperate them, thats my excuse, they are so lovely, each has a personality of their own, and all have different 'voices', its weird, i can actually recognise them by their baahhhhs :rotfl:

I must be a sheep whisperer!!

made an overpayment today- £84.87, leaving a more rounded balance of £207,600

    Total overpayments nov 16- Aug 19 = £12,167.64 :j

Im focussing on grocery spends this month, and meal planning.

Any savings from this are to be split between overpayments, and premium bonds i think :)

im really impressed with our local library, im loving my massive stack of books ive got on my last trip. I get a few in one go, then renew them online, so each trip leaves me with a couple of months worth of reading material, all free!

a wet and windy day here, so looks like a good day for the house cleaning ;)

saved £40 from grocery and my weekly spends this week, so used that to buy another £40 of premium bonds.

Im trying to build up our emergency fund at the moment, i think that has to be my focus for the rest of 2019. The business we work for is going through a bad patch, and i want us to be in the best position possible to deal with job loss and insulate us through the time needed to get new jobs if the worse was to happen.
I may be being over cautious, but it makes me feel better.:)

I want to increase overpayments too, so im being super focussed on spends, i want to saveany mini overpayment in my overpayment savings account too, even if its £0.o5p, alongside weekly savings in p.bonds.

This will be achieved from savings from grocery spends.. and any other bits and pieces..

week one i did £40, lets see what i can manage week 2..:)

  • It's a long time since I considered premium bonds, but think I need to get my EF up and available to a figure I'll be happy with. Then maybe PB time, it's always something to consider.

Lovely sunny day here but rain was torrential yesterday, good luck was with me
and managed to walk home and keep dry inbetween torrents. Think it was mentioned
we had half a month's rain in 24 hours = wet  very wet !!!
