Must update my mortgage figures after direct debit went out, just realised!!
We have has a hectic week, my car decided to die, so we have decided to buy a good reliable four wheel drive, this should hopefully last a few years, be more practical for living here with the extreme winter weather and be more useful for transporting bedding/feed etc.

We hadnt planned this, we were hoping my car would last another year or two, but alas such is life.. ive taken out a low interest loan  which we can overpay, so i will be making overpayments on this alongside mortgage ..

This last week has been a whirlwind of work, mucking out in the rain, sourcing/buying/tax and insuring new car, and work is sooo stressful at the moment due to major staff shortages, thankfully we have another week off at the end of the month .im ready for it.:)

What gorgeous sunny weather we are having, long may it last :j

The air is filled with the noises of birds singing, sheep bahhing and tractors baling hay this week, the sounds of summer :T

Work is crappy at the moment still, we are looking forward already to our next week off at the end of this month ..

Early night for me, want to get up early and have a little ride out with chunky horse before hubby gets home for breakfast.

Note to self- need to update mortgage balance/interest for June :)

Well i spoke too soon on the weather! cloudy and rainy this morning..

Ive made a small over payment to mortgage, loan, and p.bonds today from my monthly spending money for July, as im using cash saved from groceries for my weekly spends cash ;)

Im trying to get focussed a bit more on savings and overpayments, as even small savings and overpayments really make a difference to getting balances up/down.

We have a lot going on with building work/cars/animal costs etc this year, but i still want to continue with getting costs, loan and mortgage down, and premium bond/savings balances up..

busy week, work been really stressful and its caught up with me, i was off ill with stress yesterday. Why does my employer think i can absorb two other peoples work as well as my own? and when you ask to discuss problems brush you off?

Enough of that, a lovely morning, birds singing, hubby due home soon so we can have breakfast together, then mucking out/housework/washing/date night and (hopefully) curry night (not in that order :))
:D i know i could use the £20 to overpay, but im using my own spends, and damn it i need it this week after a crapperooney time with work.:rotfl:
We also thought our much loved chicken teresa was going to die this week, she was really ill, but after two vet visits, two lots of medicine and a 5 day course of antibiotics she this morning is looking a lot more like herself, fingers crossed she continues to get better.
I know again you could say spending in excess of £100 to treat a sick chicken purchased for £12 is crackers and not very financially savvy, but sometimes you have to think with your heart, and she is such a character and part of our crazy family :) and we love her xx
