    :) What a glorious sunny morning! :j

Just a quick update, then off for a ride ..

Overpaid £130 yesterday- new balance £206,430

Hubbys wage came in at what we expected, so that was ok.

My pay day next week, planning another £50 overpayment then..

Ive done a new budget for new slightly reduced pay, should be able to still make at least £100 a month overpayment, rest will come from other little savings from grocery shop etc..

I love a challenge, so i will have to get frugal to keep chipping away at reducing our mortgage :)

Having a relaxing if soggy holiday from work, due to heavy rain the walling isnt likely to get done now for 2019..:(

But hey-ho, at least we are together enjoying our bolt hole, peace and tranquilty, it makes the working days worthwhile to be here..:)

    Well, what a soggy week!!:)

But im keeping positive- we are at least in our lovely home, and we love it snuggling up on a wet day, a hot bath after getting soaked mucking out and feeding the animals..

We are going to try the sober October challenge.. alongside a mini challenge of frugal October- max over payment challenge..:rotfl:

Im going to try for a weekly at least update, and overpayment to boost us on, any savings from booze/treats/grocery savings will go in, maybe we can kickstart our weight loss too!

Just house cleaning at the moment. The rain has stopped for the minute, the chickens have come out from under the trees to peck about, and ive put chunky horse out in his soggy field for a few hours..

cant believe after my good intentions, i havent updated my diary for a month!

I havent got my overpayment for October notes to hand, but i have been making weekly overpayments as planned- the mortgage balance stands today at £205,200

Its bucketing down with rain- again- here, muddy soggy ground, i wish it would dry up for a week or two..

My 49th birthday is fast approaching- 5th November, and i feel the urge to set goals to complete in the last year of my forties..

Our stoptober has gone great- only broke the rules once, with good reason, champagne celebration for some good news, but that was all, we have done so well, and i feel loads more positive and energetic for it, unless its just coincidence and im having an energy surge for some other reason :rotfl:

    Nearly finished house tidy..
Bought animal food shop this morning, should be ok now for this month :)

Made a nice £56.98 overpayment, leaving a tidy balance of £204,400 to kick off November :j

Also smaller overpayment of £16.48 to car loan, leaving that at £14,231.24...

Its my 49th birthday on tuesday. I have the day off, last holiday of 2019, so im going to make the best of it.

Weather permitting, a nice ride in the morning, then lunch out with hubby, then bubble bath and book before bed..Hubby is working the night shift sadly, but we will make the most of our afternoon together..

Im planning a financial challenge, to pay off the car loan, and reduce the mortgage to £180,000 by my 50th birthday 5th november 2020..

Thats my new challenge, ive just made the first overpayments towards it, so here goes!!:j

made £50 overpayment to mortgage, and payment to car loan, bringing balances to-
    Mortgage- £204,350
    Car loan- £14,200

just £38,550 to go to meet my challenge !

A soggy morning and soaking wet horse meant my riding plans not achieved :(

But had a lovely day anyway, got lots of cards, and enough of my favourite strawberry gin,and dairymilk to last until xmas!:T

Spent morning chilling with book and cup of tea, then fed and seen to chickens and horse, which is treat on a work day at the minute, i miss filling hay nets and mucking out(crackers i know), as hubby does it through week now days are shorter, so we can have tea and time together before he gets ready for work..

in the interest of money saving, and time ive decided to leave hubby in bed, and make us food instead, cant see point in having to drive somewhere for food, when i have nice meal to make, and no where id rather spend time at than right here, even on a wet day theres always wildlife to look at and fur babies to love and enjoy..

My perfect birthday- here in my perfect home- hubby-animals- gin- dairymilk supplies- bliss :rotfl:
