nearly pay day, and i break up for two weeks on friday, yipeee:j

Work is pants at the moment, overworked is an understatement, and stress levels through the roof..:eek:

I think i will start to look for a change of job..

On the money saving, all on budget for bills and savings, and grocery spends well within budget this month.:):j

Well, today is the first day of my two weeks summer hols with my hubby.

Today, just catching up on washing, bit of cleaning and food shopping.

It always takes me a day or two to get into chill out mode.

A few adjustments with my work, workload should be a bit less, but hours have changed , will have to see how i get on when i get back.. they love messing staff about with hours/role changes, but money same, hopefully a bit more, but this has to be confirmed.

My pay day yesterday, hubbys 28th, we are definitely going to make this months savings on target again :beer:

We also have managed to put aside enough money for a few nice days out while we are off, which will be lovely! i think a few treats along the mortgage free road are needed occasionally when we work so hard the rest of the time.:)

We have hubbys daughter monday to friday next week, the 2nd week is our couple time.

Well, the first week of our holiday has gone in a blur, had some nice days out and about with SD, she went home last night, think she enjoyed having some extra time with her dad..

Today, bit of catching up on chores, sorted some blackberries we picked , all in the freezer, im going to have a go at making blackberry jelly, we don't like bits in our jam! if anyone has a recipe, id appreciate it, im a first time jam maker!

On the financial side, all savings targets met, we even managed to save enough to buy a new washing machine, which thankfully arrives tomorrow, ive well and truly had my moneys worth of the old one, its ten years old, has been repaired quite a few times, but now the bearings have gone, it sounds like a train going through the kitchen on spin!!

Premium bonds have been purchased for this month, now have £12,500 for our mortgage clearance 1st August 2016!!:T

Will update signatures when ive got new mortgage balance, it hasnt updated yet..

:j a lovely sunny day! i have third load of washing on (in old bang a lot). New machine arrives 4.30 today, i cant wait!

Mortgage interest still not updated on silly halifax, so ive updated signature with outstanding balance showing today

Ive done a few chores, meeting hubby for lunchtime picnic, hes on second and last day of his training course, then tommorrow till sunday, its all about us time:j before back to work Monday

Hi.

been back at work since monday, and dont know if its due to the rest, but i've quite enjoyed it!:eek:

My son flew off to work in new zealand tonite, so mixed feelings, im happy hes doing the job he loves:), but sad that i wont see him for a long time

I will get stuck into my mortgage free challenge to take my mind off it..:o

Glad to hear that work has been okay - hope it continues!

It must feel weird having your son so far away but I imagine you'll quickly get used to it. Can you Skype? My sister in law worked on a remote island for 6 months with no phone or internet (missed Christmas!) so that was difficult for her but everyone got used to it pretty quickly.

My son has arrived safely :T, so i can relax! didn't get much sleep last night . I kept checking the flight tracker until it said landed i couldn't rest!

Im exhausted tonite, with late night, early start, then i worked over to cover holiday leave im ready for a early night! the overtime all makes a difference to savings, so its worth it
